so i polticed it on my arm and just watched my skin just start turning red..spreading away from the pressed garlic.

i applied it externally to my arm where i thought i was developing a fungal infection. after four days of treatment one time a day of pressing fresh garlic on my inner elbow and shoulder i caused a severe burn and infection because of the contact dermatitis and swelling. so my skin weeping and had tiny pus filled blisters with crust and scab for a week. i was cleaning it but it was already infected some how even though garlic is suppose to be antifungal, antimicrobial etc...

so the bacteria was spreading out and my doctor put me on an antibiotic: 500 mg amoxicillian 3 times a day and bactroban cream 2% three times a day.

im taking a 2 probiotics. and 2 tsps of vit c a day to help lessen the damage to my immune system from the antibiotics.

has anyone else caused a contact dermititis from fresh garlic?: i was leaving it on for an hour! a little too aggressive obviously.

should i add anything else to be immune enhancing.

and i was told to use an antibacterial soap. like dial or lever.

i rarely ever have illness, dont use antibacterial soap...and am really distraught about all this.

iam still nursing my 13 month old. what should i do for her because of the antibiotics she is receiving through my milk?

tia
