I'm having my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow and would like to know what type of treatment I could use for pain relief afterwards - aside from the usual tylenol, motrin, etc. Obviously, it would need to be something I could easily find at our very small HFS. Thanks!

hmmm... arnica (gel for topical application, homeopathic for before and after the surgery)
comfrey makes a good poultice (not a good one for internal use, though)

ice packs for the first 24 hours or so.

I can't think of anything else just now, my brain is sorta fried at the moment.

My husband had success (with pain relief) from Clove Oil. He had a couple of dry sockets and nothing could touch the pain...except the clove oil.

Good Luck!

just saw this post and want to advise to never put arnica topically on any broken skin surface!!

for sore muscles, sprains and that sort are fine, as long as there's no broken skin. arnica internally is fine (pellets)

besides arnica, you can try hypercium in a 30c.

hope it goes well for you.

Hypericum worked wonderfully for me after I got my wisdom teeth removed. It is for nerve pain.
