Are there any types of herbs or homeopathic treatments for blood sugar management. My Dr has me on medications that the side effects are horrible. Twice since I have started the medications my blood sugar numbers have dropped horribly and I have almost passed out. Is there any types of herbs at all that might help me to better manage all of this?????

Your problem sounds pretty severe so I don't know how well it can be managed without medication, but it is worth a try. Chromium is a mineral that helps regulate blood sugar. Also avoiding sugar, bread, and fruit juice should help.

I used to have low blood sugar and knew much more about it, but now I've forgotten. For me, it was caused by low adrenal function. (Glycogen is stored in the liver and converted to glucose by the adrenal glands when blood sugar gets low.) Is it possible that's causing your blood sugar to be low? In my experience, drs are not knowledgeable about adrenals and are not very helpful in correcting a problem with them, but you may be able to research it yourself and get some help that way.
