Ok this is a new one for me. My 8mth old woke up yesterday with a temp, I nursed him back to sleep and gave him some homepathics and he woke up fine. Except a little stuffy nose. Played all day no sign of anything. Well last night he was really fussy before he fell asleep, then he woke up with a temp last night around 3 am. Did the same thing I did the morning before. He wakes up this morning pretty happy, still a runny nose ocassional cough, but thats it. Hes playing with the kids like nothing happened. When he had his fever he was burning hot on the head and on his hands and feet. I dunno, maybe its just a little virus, I just found it really weird that he has only been running a temp at night.

My dd's done this before, where she seems to have a fever at night but not during the day. It's happened when she had a cold once. During the day, dd would be happy and playful, but once she layed down, she got really stuffy and instead of her nose running, it stopped up and made it harder for her to breathe. And then she'd get feverish. No advice really, just wanted to let you know it's happened to someone else before!

Happy with my DH, 2 kids, dog, fish, and frogs

My DS does that every time he's teething ... he'll be a little furnace all night long and have a slight stuff nose all day.

Nothing to add other than my 3yr.old ds has fevers in the night often and will seem perfectly fine during the day, fussy at bedtime and even wake up with the fever in the night, then be fine again by morning. When we asked the doctor about it were met with a blank face and no suggestions as to what may be causing it. So far, dd (9mos.) doesn't seem to have these symptoms as yet. With my ds it began in infancy and continued through until now - just not every night.
