My two-and-a-half DD has had redness circling her eyes on and off for months. I thought it may be allergy related (she was extremely sensitive when exclusively nursing) but the only dairy she has is yogurt which I thought would be okay. She loooooves yogurt -- has it every day, sometimes even twice a day. So I hate to take it away from her if this is something else. She seems to have outgrown all her other food allergies.

She also is not the best sleeper, so could it be from tiredness?

I'm willing to cut out the yogurt if anyone thinks that may be the cause. From what I remember, DARK circles under the eyes are allergy related, but I have never seen anything about redness.

Anyone have any ideas?

My DH has chronic dark circles, but in a little one they can certainly look more red. My DD gets that way with (hayfever) allergies and when tired.

My 2 yo gets the same way when he is tired. They aren't dark necessarily, but slightly pink. He does not have any allergies that I am aware of and it happens infrequently enough that I am not worried yet.
