Any idea why my baby cries every time she pees? She also cries whenever she has gas which is frequent. Her dr said she was just sensitive...

With a baby that sensitive, I'd be looking at doing Elimination Communication. It would also help you see if her urine looks like a UTI -- cloudy, discolored, strong, like deep yellow instead of nearly clear.

EC has it's own forum over in diapering.

Little girls do not like to be wet! My little girl certainly didn't like it. She likes to be clean and dry. She wakes up at night to say, I'm wet. Soon, very soon, I hope she'll be waking up before the I'm wet. I did a 1/2 effort on EC. If I were so lazy, she probably be using the potty now.

A urine culture is the way to go to know for sure. Then decide how to procede from there. A couple of good UTI discussions are going on right now here.

we EC here...and dd cries before she pees too..not bad but just a bit. i think it may just bother her ...as soon as i take her to the potty and hold her over it, she lets out this little cry, then her whole body relaxes as she pees.

fwiw, she's 11 weeks ..she *did* cry while peeing for a while...now she knows i'll take her to the potty and lets me know with a little cry *before* peeing.

that would fit the "sensitive" perspective of the dr.

The crying is only during the day, too. Night time doesn't bother her. hmmmm
