I just bought some of this stuff and the woman in the store said it could be mixed with breastmilk and given with a dropper but when I mixed it with the milk it clumped up and clogged the dropper! How have other people given this to their babies? DD is almost 12 weeks old.

Thanks.

for a small babe, i would probably just put it on the inside of their cheek with my finger. or mix it with breastmilk and give it with a very small spoon. also, if you are taking it yourself, she will get it through your milk.

I would be hesitant to put powder into a baby's mouth. She could inhale it, and that would not be good.

Is the BM warm? have you tried shaking it really well?

it's not like you'd be putting a large amount in at one time though. i think a bit on a fingertip to the inside of the cheek would be just fine.

I have read that shaking breastmilk damages it.

Well, the point is to get the probiotics in them.. shaking the BM probably destroys some of the properties of the BM but it won't hurt to drink it.
