How would I know if I have a leaky gut? I was fine before I got pregnant and then everything went to, well, ya know...

I have to make this short, because dd will likely wake at any moment:

During the pregnancy I developed really BAD acne. It still hasn't gone away
I also developed eczema on my hands. It is so bad now that my fingernails are about to fall off and I can't put my hands in water. It just keeps getting worse.

We found out at 4 weeks that dd is allergic/intolerant to MANY foods in my diet. I was already on a wheat/gluten/yeast/soy/dairy free diet. She reacts to things as simple as fruit and vegetables.

She is now reacting to my only protein: organic chicken.

So if I had a leaky gut, could this be affecting her and causing these reactions? I've been taking probiotics for years now, and am on a heavy duty one. How would I know if this was the problem?

What can I do?!

Thanks for any advice

Yes, your leaky gut could absolutely be affecting your dd. You should read the Healing the Gut Cheat sheet, and the healing the gut thread. Most mamas there are dealing with the same issue[s]. Some have found success with the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) mentioned in the cheet sheet. Others are doing rotation diets. MOst are working on healing themselves and their dc's. There's a lot to learn, but A LOT of support!
