Okay, ds (16 months) has this cough that's getting worse and it's starting to scare me. There's no snot, but the cough sounds like RSV or pneumonia and he feels warm. His voice is really hoarse and the coughing sounds awful and hoarse as well. It sounds like his breathing is a bit restricted too. I don't want to take him to the ped if I don't have to. What can I do for him to clear him up? Any ideas will be much appreciated.

Have you taken his temperature? The chance of pneumonia is nothing to fool around with. Restricted breathing......I would definitely be getting my child to the doctor.
