Okay, I'm not a hundred percent sure where to post this, but it is freaking me out a bit and I thought one of you nice moms might have an idea or two.

I'm thinking my little one's (8 months) jaw is grinding/clicking. I few times she has snuggled into me tired and I can feel a real vibrating/grinding feeling. The other day when she was trying to get to sleep, she had her mouth open and just opening/closing a little bit really slowly and it made a horrible noise. Almost like uneven teeth grinding against each other.

I've had a bit of trouble with my jaw starting the end of high school, it clicks and jams sometimes, but nothing serious. I do know that jaw problems can be serious and would hate for there to be something wrong.

Any ideas? Anythign that it could be? What to do next? There is a pediatric walk in clinic around (we don't have a pediatrician, just a family clinic) that I might take her to.

Thanks for reading!

My first thought is if you are breastfeeding, then you should be supplementing with magnesium, and upping those foods, of course.

Yes, we are breastfeeding. Hmmm, magnesium. I'll have to have a look into that.

I'm not sure what the connection is off the top of my head...
