My 13 year old dd started complaining of eye pain on Sunday, but her eye looked normal. Tuesday night it was a little swollen and so I took her to the walk in doctor down the road from us. He said it's viral conjunctivitis and that in 2-3 days she should be fine to go back to school. Wednesday morning she woke up and it was swollen shut. Same thing today. This is now day 5 since this all started and it's getting worse, not better. Does anyone know if this is normal with viral conjunctivitis? When should she start to feel better? I'm considering taking her to our pediatrician but if this is how normal viral conjunctivitis acts, I'd rather save myself the trip. However I don't want to ignore it, thinking the walk in doc was right only to have this continue through the weekend and get worse, kwim?
