I have the flu and I am 38 weeks pregnant. I cannot tolerate Tylenol. I am super sensitive to all medications/herbal therapies. I need some relief though. I have extreme body aches, have not sleep in days, fever, headache, etc etc. All the symptoms. Is there anything I can do to help relieve the pain?

I am taking 1 packet of Emergen-C, drinking green tea, eating fruits and veggies high in beta carotene and vitamin C.

A warm bath helps with the body aches but as soon as I get out they come right back. I really need relief for the aches because they are keeping me awake. I cannot sleep with my lower back/hips/legs aching this badly.

I was thinking of calling and acupuncturist in the morning. Would that help?

I am terrified of going into labor when this sick.

Oh and I have been sick off and on since Nov 1st...the family and I keep passing it back and forth it seems. Hence, the total exhaustion....just been sick for too long.

Does anyone have any suggestions on anything I can do when this pregnant?

Thank you.

Magnesium can be very helpful for the aches. If have or can get someone to pick up some Natural Calm/Ionic Fizz from the HFS that worked well for me. You could probably also just take mag capsules, I take mag citrate because it's better absorbed than the more-common-at-drug-stores mag oxide. I would keep taking the mag until you feel relief and/or show signs of bowel tolerance. If you're having any leg or other muscle cramps you might also want to add some calcium (with mag, of course).

I have some of that in the cabinet but I never knew it was good for body aches. Thank you.
