I have a massive cold/cough and my sinuses feel like they are about to explode. I hauled out the neti pot yesterday, and found brief relief, but the clogginess is back.

I'm just using it with the saline powder, is there something I could be using that would be more effective?

How often should I use the neti pot?

In the thick of a head cold, I do it maybe 4 times a day? As often I can remember to, especially if you are getting relief from it!
Just don't do it right before you go lay down. I need at least a half hour for gravity to do it's thing - blow my nose, swallow stuff that goes down the other way. If I lay down right after, it all gets stuck there and then it hurts.
