I wonder how many people confuse a German Measles or Three Day Measles or Rubella party with an actual Measles party? (http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/rubella/DS00332)

I asked my mom and she said that people back then let kids play with those who had chicken pox but NOT measles (rubeola)... the more dangerous kind.

For historical sake, I would love for people to dig up more history on these measles parties.

Anecdotally, we had measles parties when I was a kid...and I'm only 30.
