My dd has a fever (103.5) She also has a rash that has just developed, she's very itchy, What could it be???? PLEASE HELP

Not sure but an itchy rash with fever...is it possible it's chicken pox?

scarlet fever can itch and come on suddenly.....dd1 gets it without the sore throat....

Chicken pox is the first thing that came to my mind.

Thanks So Much for the replies I'm pretty sure its not chicken pox, the rash isn't bumpy like chicken pox. Scarlet fever symptoms seem to be closer to her symptoms. We may take a trip to the doc today if the fever isn't better in a few hours

I think that's a good idea (going to the doc) you just never know what it might be, and some things are time sensitive. Good luck, I hope babe is better soon

My first thought was roseola, but usually the rash does not appear till the fever is gone. The rash is tiny little sandpaperish bumps over the whole body.

tell you doc that you think it may be scarlett...they had me walk through the receptionist door and straight to an exam room rather than through the waiting area....

how old is your LO??? dd was 2.5 when she first got it. her stepsister brought it home from school...

If it's tiny red bumps all over, it's definitely scarlet fever. I had it when I was 12. Treat it as soon as possible!!! It is a nightmare.
