Hello,
My 20 mo. dd has shown a decrease in urine output and I don't understand why. Her twin will soak her diaper in the same time frame and C's will barely be wet. The urine is not dark yellow or brown or smell funny...just a lot less than usual. C does not have a fever. Historically, C had really full diapers. C doesn't complain or cry when voiding urine so I'm thinking it's not a UTI. C plays, climbs, learns new words...I don't get why the diapers a significantly less full, and I was hoping someone out there may be able to help me out with this.
Thank you.
Deborah

Thank you for your reply. She does seem to be drinking less. But I don't know why. Her twin will chug a sippy cup of water, and C will take a few sips or play with the liquid. She'll nurse for comfort more often than before. Before I think she would drink first then hang out on the breast for comfort. Now sometimes she'll come on and just hangout. She first refused to nurse when she was sick with a stomache virus...also when she had mouth sores (on tongue). It is strange to see this from my champion nurser.

Does she seem like she is getting dehydrated?

I can't imagine how she is not urinating as much as her twin.

If she seems fine in all other ways then it must be alright imo.

Has she been on any medicine/vaccines lately?
