If you are coughing, strep is not very likely. Strep is usually sore throat and fever, and maybe nausea. Everything I have read says that when you have other symptoms, it is less likely to be strep. I would not take Robitussin while nursing. If it were me, I would call an alternative health care person that could tell me what to take while nursing. I would probably be taking high doses of Vitamin C and Sambucol, and probably some other things in my cabinet too.
Good luck!

Take lots of sodium ascorbete it is safe while nursing. And cod liver oil. The kind I have in the post, it is filtered and good for both of you. jmo.

SA is actually what helps us best and foremost when we are sick. But you do have to take it all day long and during the night as well. I usually take one large dose and then small doses all day/night long. Again the next moring a large dose...

By large dose I mean 1 - 2 Tablespoon right at once. Then 2 Tablespoon spaced out throughout the day. And 2 Tablespoons during the night.

If you get a loos stool, cut it in 1/2.
