EEK! Help! Tell me it goes away with treatment! Tell me it's easy to treat! Tell me I can get through the night!!!

I actually SAW worms. I am COMPLETELY freaking right out.

So far my plan is to take her in to the doc tomorrow. From what I've read, it will be treated with some kind of magic pill.

But the underlying issue is WHAT??? After the doc I need to take her to the homeopath.

Waaaahhhhh. Help.

This is going to sound kind of weird, but... some scientists are thinking some digestive disorders are caused by never being exposed to worms. In fact, I have a disease where an experimental treatment involves "infecting" yourself with worms.
Don't freak out too bad, mama
You'll have to find out what kind of worm it is first, and there are natural treatments for everything. Once you know what you are dealing with, you can decide between medical and natural.

There are pills for it. Whether it is safe for you will depend on whether or not you are pregnant and the type of worms it is. I know that there are homeopathic treatments.

Thank you, ladies!

Since our search function is still not working at the moment, I went to google and searched pinworms with gse, tto, and lavender oil just to see what came up. There were mothering.com results for all 3 all on the first page! So I was able to find plenty info about pinworms from mdc families. Yay! The Pinworm Thread

So from what I can figure out is that we need to clean up her diet and treat everyone.

I think I'll also make a phone call to her doctor in the morning and see if he'd be willing to call in a script for us all.

The reason I asked about the medication is because I'm nursing (not pregnant). Forgot to add that in my previous post.

Anyway, THANK YOU for calming me down! The Pinworm Thread was greatly helpful, as well.

Off to bed now. I finally feel relieved.

Fleas I can deal with. Ticks I can deal with. Lice, I could probably deal with. These worms, though FREAKED ME OUT!!! We're doing much better today.

Ew. I had worms as a kid. I had to take one pill (and I think everyone in my family did as well) and wash the sheets in hot water. That was the end of it.

I'd rather my kids have worms than have a tick on them, ftr. Ticks carry diseases that can be life long and horrible. Pinworms are really not a big thing.
