Why am I unable to find y'all? I've been away for many months, but a series of events with my 22 month old has convinced me I have got to do more to help my baby heal.
I'm ready to do what I need to do... but where are my teammates?
DS has a diagnosed allergy to:
- egg whites
- tree nuts
He had scallops for the first time two nights ago and has had diarrhea since. On top of that, he has begun to react to what I think is citrus-- which has been tricky. It seems he SOMETIMES reacts to citrus, but not always. It seems to be when he is tired, stressed, dealing with another allergen (scallops?), or simply has had the mother load of citrus.
Where can I find an exhaustive list of citrus foods? I think I remember reading that tomatoes are included? And berries? And cantelope and pineapple?
I'm pulling all the stops out. The fact that he
a) seems to be allergic to something else (shellfish... is a scallop a shellfish?) and
b) has an allergy that comes and goes based on his stress and maybe nutrition at the time (see link below) combined with my pent up frustration with
c) a recurring yeast rash in groin and neck that comes and goes as it pleases
has me feeling like I have GOT to do something more than I've been doing.
I am ready to pull out the stops! Get out the probiotics! Make the broth! Push the (soy/coconut) yogurt! Read more about nutrition!
Is there anyone else out there, sort of teetering on the fence of proactivity with their child's food allergies?
