My DD (2.5) has a rash on her face and neck, and we're trying to determine what it is. The bumps are very small and red. Ther are about 15 scattered around her face and another 10 on her neck (slightly more than yesterday). They are only on her face and neck, not on the rest of her body.
This started on Wednesday, when she only had a red, irritated-looking eye. Then Thursday, she was stuffy with a runny nose. Thursday evening or Friday morning the bumps appeared. Yesterday there were about half as many as this morning. Her face doesn't seem to itch, but her neck does.
She's in good spirits, and has been running a fever on and off.
Any ideas what it could be? Just a viral rash? Something else?
I looked online a bit and the bumps don't seem to match descriptions of pox or measles.
Could it be Fifth Disease? What I read does say that the rash starts on the face.
