Do you plan to drink it? When will you start?

I plan to drink it, but I'll wait until the 2nd trimester. I drank it early with my last pg and m/c'd.
2nd pg had a fast labour, and I had drank it for the last 2 trimesters.
It's just so, bleh. I wish it tasted yummy.

As far as taste, I much prefer the "pregnancy tea"s out there. I think that they are yummy even without any honey/sugar. Traditional Medicinals makes one as well as Yogi Teas. I have already started drinking them and will just increase consumption as time goes by. Sometimes I mix one with a bag of plain raspberry leaf to increase the raspberry content but keep the added flavor of the pregnancy tea. Makes a nice iced tea also

I can't stand it warm but rrl tea is so good iced w a little raw honey.
And, my new fav,
go to the recipe part of mothering and make the chai tea and mix it w the rrl.
That way, you are diluting the rrl and oh man is it good!
the perfect summer drink on ice!

Because of my history of m/c I wait till 2nd trimester but I always drink mine iced with raw honey and either a slice of lemon or a sprig of fresh mint. It deffinitly helped with my labors with my last two! And with the PP bleeding as well....(which is usually pretty heavy for me but was alot less when I drank it after the birth as well as during labor.

Is there a problem with rrl tea and m/c? I hadn't heard about this.

I just looked this up after reading some of the other posts.

According to Susan Weed in her book on the Childbearing Year, RRL tea:

Increases fertility in both men and women;
Prevents miscarriage and hemorrhage;
Eases morning sickness;
Reduces pain during labor and after birth;
Provides a safe and speedy parturition;
Helps to bring down an undelivered placenta;
Assisting in production of plentiful breast milk;

wow, that is so interesting.
I wondered aobut rrl and m/c,
since it only tones the uterus but
doesn't really cause cx's.

I've started drinking it now that m/s is "under control"

As an iced tea it isn't bad but it has a funny smell.

I'm drinking it. I throw in some stevia leaf which sweetens it and add spearmint for flavor and oatstraw for minerals.
It tastes great without extra sweetener.

I've always liked the way it tasted with a little sugar or honey in it. Iced I drink more faster. I bought a box of TM Pregnancy tea at the beginning and I started taking some here and there throughout the first trimester.

I finally got my 2 lbs order of straight RRL in the mail the other day and I have started doing an infusion in a quart jar with about 1/3 cup of the dried herb. So yummy. I have limited myself to a 16 oz glass with lots of ice and will do so for the next month or so then I will start slowly increasing.

Throughout my whole pregnancy I have been taking RRL capsules.

I plan on drinking it, though I hadn't thought of drinking it iced, was thinking of starting sometime next month, being in the second trimester now, I've heard both it causing m/c and helping to avoid it, so I"m just going to wait just in case

I drank it in the last trimester of my last pregnancy and I had a quick and easy labor.

I however only like it warm with honey in it so I use a glass lined thermos to store. I was drinking about a quart a day, made with 3 TM bags. I couldn't really stomach more.

I didn't have any in labor, I was sick to my stomach and they couldn't get me to drink anything.

I started RRL when I first got my BFP but then the MS kicked in and I had to stop. I'm not as sick but for some reason, looking at my 1 lb bag of RRL makes me want to barf. I need to just get it together and drink it anyway. My MW suggested a mix of RRL, oastraw, alfalfa, and dandelion leaf. Doesn't that sound tasty!

I really like the taste of RRL tea. I am still drinking the TM nursing Mother's Tea daily, so I haven't started the straight RRL yet. I will drink it iced or hot, and I don't add anything to it. I should order some soon...

Right now I have a box of TM Pregnancy Tea but as soon as that's gone- probably in a few days- I will start making my own pregnancy tea infusions. A friend of mine gave me a bunch of good herbs for pregnancy so I better use them up!!

In the 1st trimester I took a prenatal with some RRL in it and now that I am in my 2nd trimester I am adding a cup of pregnancy tea with RRL a day. Once the 3rd trimester gets here- really not THAT far off!!- I plan on upping the RRL again.

I really can't wait for this birth to see how the RRL works. Sure wish I knew about it the first time around!!
