we pretty much have a boy name picked out...Jack Stone, although that middle name is still up for debate. I like Jack Albert, it has family significance, in a funny way.

I love Ada for a girl, but no other family member does. We're having a harder time with girls names, probably because we already have 3 .

Our children's names:

Summer Amanda
Sarah Grace
Elizabeth Kate

I'm thinking Simon Zelotus (long story on the middle name!) for a boy. Hubby wants Claire for his grandma if it's a girl. My grandma wanted Catherine for a girl. Maybe we'll have to go with CC . I like floral names like Iris, Ivy, Violet, Fern, Laurel, Willow and Calla!!

Miriam June for a girl. Nothing yet for a boy. I like Finnian but DH doesn't... We have a Joshua Thomas but he was named after a friend of DH's who passed away.

Ohh after seeing Adensmommy's post I forgot I like Max. We'd go with Maximillian though.

We like Cedric, Simon, and Isaac for boys and Madeline, Natalie, Brynn, and Brenna for girls. We haven't discussed middle names yet, but we will probably bring back some family names that we didn't end up using with DS.

Sarah , wife to Tyson :, SAHM to Landon (5), Coleson (3), and new baby boy due any day!

DS's middle name is Finian and it was a "last-minute" decision--now I love it so much and everyone we meet loves it so that I kinda wish we had given it to him as a first name

We like Collette for a girl, but maybe not that spelling? Catherine, Kathleen, and Sarah are also fav's. I like Ingrid and Matilda but DH hates them

For a boy we like James, Nicholas, I also love Max for Maximillian, not to steal all your named and Alexander (Xander for short)

We like British last name as first names for boys, in theory, but the problem is, we have a traditional British last name, so we run into the whole "do you have two first names? or two last names? and which is which?" problem. Our last name could totally be a first name, so. . .it can get confusing.

And it's annoying how many of the top 10 baby names right now I love. . .I had the #2 most popular baby name of my birth year and there were always a million of us. luckily an easily nicknamed name, but still not a fate I want my kid to have.

On the other hand, I am not sure I want a name so unique no one can pronounce or spell it on a second try. . .KWIM?

I've no idea, if it's a girl. I'll think about it after I don't feel sick all the time.

Those are beautiful names! I love Kieran, but DH has nixed it. My mom's name is Karen and he thinks it is too similar. And Annaliese has been on my list several times with the other girls.

I think:
Madeline
Meredith
Elsie

If it is a girl, Silja(sil-ya) Laine
if it is a boy, possibly Rune(run-eh) Lee or some other scandinavian name - i don't want one that is the name of a mythological character, it gets tricky since hubby likes "viking" names Lee is a family name so the first name has to fit with it.

So I was inspired to do a little name research last night and here is my short list.

For girls:

Adela
Aleda
Alyce
Brynna
Claire
Clara

For Boys:

Aren
Garen

I would like to use a German name again this time, but I don't like most of the boys names I have seen, so it may be another Irish name.

Mama to 4 darlings. A ('03), O and K ('06), A ('09), and wife to M since 2002.

We have had our boy name for more than 6 years now - Matthew David. Of course because we had a boy name that we love, we have 2 girls so far. Leah Marie and Mary Louise.
If this baby is a girl we are really going to struggle. We are almost positive the middle name will be Margaret. If that just doesn't fit with the first name, Veronica is our second choice for a middle name. For first names, we were almost set on Lillian, but I am afraid it will be top 10 within the next year or two. I don't mind popular names, but don't want anything trendy. There may be a million Matthews out there, but you can't pin down their age by their name. I think DH is coming around on Nora Margaret. He was unsure when he first heard it, but I think it is growing on him.

If it's a boy we're completely set on Ashton Cade.

If it's a girl, we're not really sure. Originally we wanted Aurora Bella, but Aurora doesn't go well with our last name. Now we're thinking Aubrey Bailey, but I'm not crazy about it. We're going to have to give it some thought.

SAHM to Ninja Boy (6) surf.gif and Monkey Man (4) carrot.gif.

I am so struggling w this .
I loved having a name that was unique but not unheard of growing up.

I gave my dd one that I thought would be the same, it's now on the top 1000 of 2007 ugh!
And, my favorite for this babe is the aforementioned Willow, which is already at #430 of the top 1000. drives me crazy!
sigh.

Our girl name last time was Cecily Anne. I think that is probably what we will still go with if this babe is a girl. Cecily is a tribute to my grandfather Cecil who passed away the year I was born. And Anne with an "e" because I looove Anne of Green Gables. I also really like like Marley Louise, Louise being a variation of the middle names of my mother and dh's mother. Dh isn't a big fan of Marley, plus our ds is Micah, so people might think we're going to do all "m" names, which isn't our plan. Skye is another girl's name I really like, but it doesn't go that well with our one syllable last name.

For boys, ugh. I feel like we picked the perfect boy name the last time, and I'm just not set on anything yet. Some possibilities are Samuel James and Silas David, the middle names honoring my father and dh's father. But I'm not sure. I really like Biblical names, but some are too common and some are too bizarre for my taste.

Wife to DH and mama to two little boys born 6/06 and 7/09.
