Hello everyone! We put our adoption on hold because we are going of vacation to Cuba in a week with our DD. I really just wanted to have a stress free vacation and the agency is super slow anyway so we are basically saying no to any instant placements. We dont feel we could make an educated decision from so far away. We did TTC this month. I am on CD 18 and havent ovulated yet, but it should be soon. My hubs is working nights so we aim for every other day which is good enough for me. I am not really feeling it anyway because I caught a nasty cold. Good luck to everyone in the 2WW!

I think I'm about 2 DPO right now, but I had a couple of disturbed temps, and as of this morning, the software thought I was about 4 DPO. I decided to take away the disturbed temps so it would calculate it at 2 DPO like I think it should be. It didn't. It said I'm 11 DPO? Huh? I definitely don't agree with THAT, but still, I had to go ahead and take my only test just to rule out that tiniest possibility. BFN, of course. Now, off to adjust my chart to make its beliefs match mine. smile.gif

I think I told myself now that I am trying but I will never have a baby without insurance again. I don't know what it takes to get insurance but I will get it. The whole covered ca thing is giving me the run around.

Hi,

I have been in hibernation mode for a few days now, but I did catch up on the old thread. I am really sorry to read some heartbreaking stories.

ilovemykiddos, I am keeping my fingers so strongly crossed for you, you have no idea! Really hoping this is your month and you don't even have to go to the doctor.

harmony96, I just hate the second guessing that comes with these charts sometimes. Even 11 dpo, which does not sound nearly close to what you are, is still very early though. Fingers crossed that the next two weeks bring you a really nice bfp.

AFM, I did get a positive pregnancy test on Friday with the faintest of line, and one today with an undeniably darker line. I am a little scared, but also very hopeful. Trying to live in the present moment and not succumb to fears. I have what was supposed to be a follow-up appointment after a first consult with my RE, and I guess he'll order some serial beta tests and maybe progesterone too. I did not temp this month, but I did have positive OPKs on January 20 and 21, so it's still so early. I wish time would fly a little faster :)

Then dont. Just wait it out. In our situation it makes sense to hope for the best but to brace ourselves for the worst. Take it one day at a time and go easy on yourself. Congrats!

AFM i O'd and so now I am in waiting to know please. ahhhhhh! now that i am officially ttc again i remember how nerve racking the wait is. ditto on the fast forwarding time! I will test this weekend when my sister is here for a visit with my nephew.

also eying up the calendar as Feb7 was my due date. so feeling a bit sad about that, missing that baby. any ideas for something to do that day to acknowledge the baby? just a meditation maybe.

I will be testing Feb 8th or 9th! ahhhhh again!

Congrats, Kaliakra! Thanks for being hopeful for my cycle. I am here and in other TTC groups and I think everyone else is more hopeful about my cycle than I am, lol.

Jese, when my due date with Jonathan came, my closest friends gathered at his grave with me. They brought some orange, yellow and blue balloons and a little flower arrangement in those same colors, too. (When he was in the NICU, I'd made a ducky fleece blanket to go over his bed, so orange/yellow/blues are "his" colors.) Everyone wrote letters to him, and read them out loud. Then we released the balloons. (The letters were going to be tied to the balloons but it ended up being too windy to do that.) A copy of the letters got put into a scrapbook, too.

I changed the thread to be for both February and March. Partly because January was a little slow, and partly because I forgot I'm going to be moving at the end of the month.

Congratulations Kali!!!!

Liladancing....that is crazy about your friends losing her baby at the same time. So sad.

AFM AF came today. I am devastated. We had 2 days where we thought we were.my dh and I had hope. I felt my spirits lifted. Mentally not getting pregnant is weighing on me. We don't have the moneyfor an RE but I don't know what else to do. With each passing month it hurts more n more to get a BFN.

I have had 6 cycles since his death and besides low amh I am fine.

Can it really take this long for my body to get back to normal?

So as much as I hate it I think we will see the RE. Unless anyone wants to chime in with their two cents?

((ilovemykiddos)) I'm so sorry. greensad.gif Have you and your DH tried anything extra on your own? (preseed, charting, soy isoflavones, etc.)? You could possibly give that a try before heading to an RE. Or call and make an RE appointment since they sometimes are booked out for several months and then try stuff in the meantime while you wait.

I am taking supplements: DHEA (egg quality), B6 (to length LP), prenatal, royal jelly, and Coq10. I have been taking these for probably 3 months.

I use Ovulation kits. I use a chart on the tablet to keep track of my period and ovulation and dtd history. I don't know what a soy isoflavones is? What is that?

Before I got my postpartum AF back, I had made an appt with an RE. I thought he could "speed up" the process since it took us 9 months to conceive him. He did a blood test and says I have low AMH (low ovarian reserve---not a ton of eggs). I did the hystersalpingogram where they clear out your tubes (he requires this before treating you). The first month I had cysts on my ovaries so we couldn't do anything. I used him the following 2 cycles. The first cycle I had 3 eggs....but BFN. The second cycle with even more meds only 1 egg...BFN. So we have been on our own for 3 cycles now and still...BFN.

I just don't know why it isn't working. On one hand, I think I have had 3 pregnancies resulting in 2 live births. So one would think eventually we would get pregnant. However, on the other hand I think why isn't it working. We are doing everything we should and it isn't working. It seems the longer it takes the more emotional toll it is taking on my dh and I, plus I'm not getting any younger.

Kaliakra- CONGRATS!!!!!!!!! I think I will have a hard time joining a due date club too.  I was a group owner for the due date club for Babycenter for the month that my son was due- I still technically am but  I feel bad cause  I am never there.

Afm- I had spotting later in the day yesterday so I thought for sure I was out but it has since stopped.  I am 10 dpo.  I bought a test today but don't know when to take it

ilovemykiddos, I started seeing an RE this month. My experience was nice because he ran a lot of tests. Now, normally I am not one to push for medical tests and interventions, but it was good to have a battery of tests. It was reassuring, and also now I know, for example, that I have to watch my thyroid closely. It did take us 4 cycles after the miscarriage to conceive, and I was only in beginning pregnancy when the first one ended. It's felt like a lot longer than that. I know the gutting feeling well. I am sending you hugs and I fully believe you'll be pregnant again soon. Your body is amazing. I used the same supplements, plus vitamin D.

jesepumpkin, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Congrats, Kaliakra!!! Crossing my fingers for everyone in the TWW. I am just over a week out from my surgery and feeling pretty good, went for a walk around the neighborhood and felt tired, but good. Also feeling mostly hopeful for the first time since we lost our twins. Thinking about where I was a year ago and hoping that in a year we might have another baby on the way. Just hoping, of course. We aren't going to start TTCing for a couple more months. We have weird timing issues: I work in another state for 5 weeks every summer. With my first I was in the first tri and it was fine, now I'm not sure when to think it would be best to be away, since we're going to be doing more sonos and testing in the first tri than we've ever done before. I know, I know, I'm over thinking it. But since we aren't trying yet, it's the only thing I have to obsess over.

Sending lots of baby dust to all!

BFN at what I think is around 13 dpo.  Not hopeful, but I'll test again on Saturday if my period doesn't come first.  My crazy ovulation/whatever-that-was symptoms have subsided, so I'm mostly just hoping AF doesn't keep me waiting.

I have a bunch of things to wait for, lol. I have a package coming from Idaho that's stuck in Colorado for weather (I'm in Texas), so the earliest it could get here is Friday. Then another "wait" I have is some basil seeds that I planted on Friday that are supposed to sprout in 5-10 days (except the pot got knocked off the counter today, and the tiny, dirt-sized seeds are too invisible to find, so I swept the whole thing up and put it all back in the pot, lol). Then of course there's the wait for AF which could be here anytime from today to next Tuesday.

So, what will happen first? Will I get my package? Will I see some tiny green sprouts? Will I get AF? It's anybody's guess! lol
