Has anyone experienced this during pregnancy or know if it means anything?

I woke up tonight covered in sweat that smells like dog food (TMI). Even my hands smelled like it!

I wouldn't think much of it, but I'm a little paranoid right now. I've had BHs all weekend (we had a 6 hour trip to and from NY, and I got dehydrated). ...And it didn't help I had nightmares about the pregnancy a few days ago, either.

Last pregnancy I went through a period where I thought I smelled like french fries (not in a good way). I think it's a combination of your body actually having a slightly different odor, something you ate, and (most importantly) your sense of smell being so heightened.

It's not something I'd worry about unless it was as obvious to your partner as it was to you. Then maybe give a call to your midwife/OB just to be safe.

I don't like the way I smell right now at all! I've always had a sensitive nose and being pregnant has not helped it one bit! Early on, everything smelled like feet to me and then it went away. Well, now everything (on me and around me) is smelling stinky again. DH hasn't noticed anything out of the ordinary.

My dr said to come in and get tested if I am concerned that I may have an infection or anything but then I'd be coming in everyday!

I thought I smelled like chicken soup earlier but I asked dh and he thought I was crazy and said I just smelled normal. So then I wondered if it was my sniffer that was off instead of body odor.

Well, heck with the body odor!

It appears my lactose intolerance has returned in full force. It's something I had before the pregnancy but it disappeared with the appearance of uber dairy cravings (never have I drank so much milk—yuck). ...I'd be embarrassed by the results (noisy and stinky—total TMI here, sorry), but nothing seems to embarrass me anymore... DH and I just get a good laugh.

But I just want this ride to be over with soon. I look forward to my body being my own and healing... And, even more, I look forward to be holding a healthy, beautiful little baby in my arms.

Meanwhile, I'm getting a charge out of my daughter's increase in activities. Last night when DH hugged me she actually kicked him—a lot. It was so awesome!

I guess this is all just part of the trials, tribulations, and fun of being in the 3rd trimester everyone has told me about.

What an adventure!
