My boobs are suddenly less swollen and my nipples aren't excruciatingly painful anymore. They're a little tender, but it's totally tolerable.

It has me worried. I hope all is plugging along okay in there.

Are any of you guys feeling more comfortable while nursing?

I am not having any pains while nursing but I am having cramps.

They freak me out! I wish they would just stop.

DS only nurses 3 times a day anyway...

Right after I posted in this thread a week or so ago nursing got less painful for me. Then it got even better so I, too, was a little concerned. Then this morning....:. Feels like he's gnawing my nipples off. I guess the hormones change and maybe along with it the sensitivity to nursing changes, so I guess we have no cause for concern.

In general, I don't feel pregnant anymore (aside from some some bloating), whereas last pregnancy I felt totally wonky from the second that sperm hit the egg. I'm trying not to let it concern me bc whatcanIdoaboutitanyway, kwim? What do I want, horrendous MS like last time??? Der.

Congrats btw!!!! :

I have never had breast issues except for my when I was prgant with dd#1. I nursed throughout my last pregancy as well without any pain or discomfort at all...same this time. So if it feels better, try not worry! Some just don't get that! Lucky us!

I posted about a month ago . . . I'm still nursing my 29 month old but the pain is excruciating! I don't know how much longer I can stand it. Luckily, the pain is usually gone after 2 or 3 minutes. I've been letting my son nurse almost as often as he wants, just cutting the nursing short when I'm feeling really exhausted/grouchy/need to be alone. He protests and cries, but usually accepts it if I can lie there a while longer and let him touch my belly.

But the last couple of days, I've been feeling craps/tightness in my uterus. I always try to stop my son nursing when I can feel the contracting and it usually goes away pretty quickly, but today, it's lasted a few hours and I'm a little concerned.

Is anybody else having cramping? Is anyone else worried?

I still nurse one of my ds... he only nurses 2-3 times per day though. I have been a bit senstive, but not excruciating like some of the ladies on here. I have been feeling some uterine discomfort here and there, but not terrible. Mostly I'm just really tired and hungry(for strange food combinations!).

well, my dd just weaned herself in the last couple weeks I think my supply must have dropped too because I had no pain. It was very easy, she just stopped asking for it. I think we have nursed 2 or 3 times in the last 2 weeks and if she asks again I'll let her of course. Not much there though. She's 19 months now.

Wow, how things change. I can now squeeze out, barely, one drop of sticky, thick milk with a slight yellow tinge. I guess that's my body doing things differently this time with a normal pregnancy?

DS is now skipping a day here and there, but other times asking to nurse two to three times a day.

A few mornings ago, he sleepily crawled into our bed from his mattress right next to us (we were all sleeping on the floor in MIL's house that we were packing up.) and he says, "Nursies, Daddy," cuddles in with DH and goes back to sleep. :

I'm back to hurting, most excrutiatingly during latch on, but sore the rest of the time, too. I can't squeeze out even one droplet now. DS is still nursing two times or so, most days. He may dry nurse right through this pregnancy if I can stand it. He's such a strong-willed, stubborn kid. If he wants to nurse, no lack of milk will stop him.

Awww so cute

I'm not really having pain, I guess just discomfort sometimes.

However, I have noticed that I'm not gaining weight as fast as I did with #1 - actually I haven't gained ANY weight, which kind of concerns me because I feel like I'm eating every minute that I'm awake . Did any of you mamas who nursed through your entire pregnancies have weight gain issues? DS nurses 4-6 x per day now.

Actually, I gained a lot more weight in the 2 pregnancies that I nursed through than I did in my first pregnancy. That never has seemed fair!

I've been down to just a trickle of milk for the past several weeks, but my 2 year old is showing no signs of totally weaning himself anytime soon. At least the lack of milk seems to have encouraged him to finally night wean! Initial latch-on is a little uncomfortable at times but still bearable. Ds rarely ends nursing sessions on his own anymore, but he's usually fairly cooperative when I've had enough and ask him to stop.

I have had some pain when DD first latches but not too bad. When I was pregnant with DD and still nursing DS, the pain was excruciating and I ended up weaning him when I was four months along. Nursing also creeped me out and I could barely stand for him to nurse for two full minutes. This time, I haven't felt that way so I hope that I can continue to nurse DD the whole pregnancy.

I think I'm going to have to wean my son soon. Nursing is so painful and I just can't stand it. It makes me resent him and after I nurse him, I am so annoyed with him that I just want to be alone. It is terrible to feel this way. I'm only 11 weeks along . . . I had fantasized that I'd either nurse him throughout my pregnancy or that he'd self-wean when my milk dried up at 20 weeks. This is not the ending I wanted for our nursing relationship. It makes me really sad. He clearly wants to keep nursing and I don't seem to have a supply problem so he's not getting discouraged from that.

If anyone else is actively doing mother-led weaning right now, I'd love to hear your techniques. I think this is going to be sad and stressful for my little family.
