Hi,
I have twins turning 3 in October and with this pregnancy am due in Feb so I'd love to join you all.
Is anyone having insane cravings? I am putting tons of salt on everything and using waaaay too much mayonaisse.... and had such a bad craving for taramosalata(Greek carp roe spread) the other day that I was nearly in tears. I finally got some Japanese orange rolls which have roe which satisfied my cravings as I don't know where I would find taramosalata around here.
Also bread and butter pickles and sour cream pickled herring and any kind of salted smoked fish!!
With my first pregnancy, I didn't have sooo much of a craving for particular items ... but I couldn't tolerate cold foods ... it's all so amazing how different each pregnancy is! Would love to hear what you all are craving!
I have eaten french fries 5 times in the last 48 hours.
McDonald's Fries
Dairy Queen fries with gravy
Sweet potato fries with chipotle dip
Fries from the stand at the ferry terminal
White Spot fries with lots and lots of malt vinegar and ketchup.
Tomorrow I will probably think that fries are the most disgusting food ever.
Like fast food (Burger King chicken sandwiches with lots of mustard), and instant food (canned soup), and Sprite of all things -- more than ginger ale even. Ugh. But for food, it's mostly salty things. Unhealthy, processed, salty things. Protein and tart foods. Some tomato stuff.
I don't think I'm really craving anything. But I do have a selection of foods which I'm not having an aversion too. I mentioned on the chat thread that I've been able to eat mainly fresh uncooked foods.
I do love junk food though, especially the burger king veggie burger with fries
Water, can not get enough water. Jello, don't usually care for it... but love it right now. Everything else changes day to day. Usually if I really want something and then I get it, I don't want it again at all.
apples, pb&J sandwiches, oatmeal with cinn. sugar and vanilla soymilk, bananas.
I crave these things, but the quickest way for me to get rid of nausea is to force a little meat down. I can't wait until MS goes away. Or in my case, Evening sickness
I have very few cravings and only have an aversion to uncooked veggies. In fact, the only time I'm nauseated is between 11pm and 1am and I usually just go to bed so I don't notice it.
Yesterday I wanted a Big Mac but it doesn't sound good now. This morning I ate a huge bowl of Raisin Bran and a glass of orange juice and it was so good.
Mmmm, salt, fresh tomatoes, melon, cukes, anything with mayo or ranch dressing. And, yes, french fries and fried mushrooms, every.single.time I have an opportunity (thankfully, we live a ways out of town). And rice krispies cereal, I think I ate 3 bowls over the course of Friday. My MS seems to have calmed down to between 4-7, so a lot more is sounding good now. And yesterday, Junior Mints looked like the best thing ever, and tasted that way!
peanut butter and fresh fruit. Light foods, anything heavy seems like too much. I also only seem to be able to eat a little bit at a time. I am getting full very easily now.
soft, white bakery buns...which is odd because until this point I believed white bread to be the work of the devil. Hot sauce on everything. Last week it was potato salad covered in habanero sauce. Kim Chee. Umeshiso sushi rolls. Sticky rice. I want dim sum pretty badly and a big, tall glass of beer. Of course, that is one craving i can't satisfy but i like to think about it...a lot...

Oh good Goddess, that sounds good.

I haven't been craving anything *too* crazy. I did see a billboard with a picture of a cheesecake with fresh cherry topping. I wanted it so bad, but it doesn't sound as great now. I am also one who gets 'evening sickness' around 11pm until 2am or so.

Agh!!!! omg goodness..... If I gain 70 lbs... hold on let me do the math.... I will be HUGE!!!!!!!! lol going to cut back on the cheese....
I don't have any cravings yet but the last burrito, homemade ramen and hashbrowns I had were THE BEST!! (Which is strange because I've had the same exact things before and they were good but not spectacular!)
So far, I'm not enjoying movie popcorn or cinnamon rolls as much anymore. No nausea but movie popcorn and cinnamon rolls aren't sitting well in my stomach now... and I LOVE movie popcorn!
I don't have any real cravings either, but for a few weeks now my first choice for breakfast is almost always a toasted plain bagel with butter. It's unusual for me, because I'm usually a whole grain girl, and don't usually toast my bagels if they're fresh. But if I'm a little queasy it feels like the only safe thing to eat.

Yes! This is me exactly! Can you get Ray's bagels around you? They are the only thing that gets me out of bed lately.
My cravings have been horrible! They are constantly changing and urgent so I can't even plan for them. It's like, all of a sudden I NEED a salad-- now-- and then, next thing, I'm craving lightly steamed green beans with lots of butter-- YESTERDAY-- and then I need Thai basil chicken-- and then . . . .
Great, now I'm craving a big yummy burrito, and I don't have any of the things to make a burrito, and out of money until payday!
Oh well . . .
But what I would give for a nice fat burrito with refried beans, crisp lettuce and pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and lots of cheeeeeese. Mmmmmm . . .

I know what I'm having for dinner later this week.

Chinese food. Salty, briny, sauce over meat, veggies, and rice. It's the only thing that doesn't make me want to puke. Everything else (and I mean EVERYTHING else) just makes me feel sick. Everytime I eat I feel sick. Everytime I don't eat, I feel sick.
Except when I'm thinking about or eating chinese food. LOL!
I just went to Subway and ate a Meatball sub with tomatoes, olives, onions and hot sauce. It was delicious but now I feel like crap.
