We have two names that we really like but need some help with a middle name with one of them. Our top choices right now are Fiona _______ and Hazel Maureen. Do you have any ideas for a middle name to go with Fiona? I liked Fiona Rose but DH wasn't so fond.

Thanks!

The first thing that popped into my head was Claire. I think Fiona Rose is too many "o" sounds. Nothing wrong with it, but not quite as pretty as some other combos, plus Rose is kind of a filler middle name (though pretty).

Have you tried the nymbler site? It's great fun and might help.

www.nymbler.com

Fiona would also go well with a longer name too, if you were inclined.

Here are some others that are a little different, maybe. No clue if you'd like them or not.

Fiona Beatrix
Fiona Melisande
Fiona Penelope
Fiona Anneliese
Fiona Juliet
Fiona Bethany
Fiona Charlotte
Fiona Ceridwen
Fiona Adeline

---

I really like Fiona. It's a quirky, fun name.

I like the three most recent pp's middle choices b/c I think with a name like Fiona and all it's three syllables it sounds best with a very short, like one syllable name to go with it.

Fiona Belle
Fiona Quinn
Fiona Kate
Fiona Skye
Fiona Paige
Fiona Jade
Fiona Eve
Fiona Raine

Btw: I love the name Fiona!

Mama to Zoe (8/00), Morgan : (10/01), Brooke9/06), Casey 20wks (2/08), and Riley : (2/09): She's really here!!

Great names, thanks! I do love Grace but that is the name of my parents dog! Not so sure how little Fiona would feel about sharing her name with her Grandparents dog!

I'm still trying to talk DH into Fiona Maureen but he doesn't like it as much as Hazel Maureen. My aunt is Maureen and I love it! We'll see how it goes. I think he owes me since he totally nixed one of my favorites...Delilah! My sis said wait till just after I've given birth and he'd do anything I say! Very tricky of her!

Hazel is lovely.

I'd skip Fiona because of the Shrek movie thing.

Yeah Delilah was nixed by my dh too becasue of that pop song. So annoying!
