I waddled my way down to my local aromatherapy shop yesterday to pick up some things for labor!

- Neroli (diluted in jojoba - so expensive but smells so nice!)
-Clary Sage

I already have Lavender, Frankincense, Bergamot. I'm planning to make a pain relief/relaxation oil with all of these included, using sweet almond as the base.

I did have a few questions about the Clary Sage. I know it's supposed to have sedating effects and was warned not to use it until the end stages of labor, so as to not impede progress. Is it safe for me to use now in baths and the like though, or should I just stay away from it? I ask because I have heard reports of others using Clary Sage to actually induce labor.

Any thoughts??
