They can never hear the heartbeat through a doppler for awhile with me because I have a uterus that tilts quite a bit toward my back. They are always so kind to just do a super quick u/s long enough for me to see the heartbeat.
I needed to see it because I've been having a bit of a hard time connecting to this pregnancy. Been sooo sick and soooo tired and soooo busy with my toddler, baby (he's almost a year) and my two teens who started their schooling this past Monday (we homeschool). It's been crazy.
Now it finally feels real.
Who is still waiting to hear their babe's hb?
I haven't heard a HB yet, and was hoping to yesterday, but my MW was called to attend a patient in labor and had to cancel our appointment. My uterus tips backward too, so the chances of hearing it at 11 weeks were slim, but I was still hopeful. In two weeks though, I will have a much better chance. In previous pregnancies, once my uterus started to grow past the pelvis it straightens out.
The due date according to the midwife is 2/28/09 while the ultrasound indicates 3/4/09 so I'll be hanging around here too.
