My 9yo and I were clicking around, and somehow clicked on the fertilization one. My 2yo got very excited! "I want the purple FISH BABY!"

I have the book A Child Is Born by Lennart Nilsson, where almost all of those photos come from. It is a photographic book that shows the growth from the time of conception, along with describing it. The website doesn't make that clear. The week is the age of the growing baby, not the week of pregnancy. If you are 10 weeks pregnant, you need to look at the pictures of the baby at 8 weeks, not 10. Just wanted to clarify for you since the site doesn't.

It does at the very top of the page. It says, "weeks from your last menstrual period" and then has all the weeks you can click on. So it does count from your last menstrual period.

But they have it messed up. If I press on weeks from my last menstrual period as week 6, it takes me down to week 6. There, I see a picture that is from page 89 of the book and that picture is of a 6 week old embryo. But if it is 6 weeks from my last menstrual period, my growing embryo would not be 6 weeks old. It would approximately be 4 weeks old. The actual correct picture that I would need to look at is the one at the top of week 5 section, which is the picture from page 79 of the book and is a picture of a four week old embryo.
