Here is a graphic from Texas illustrating where to inject multiple vaccines to a baby in one go.

Now read the insert from Merck's MMR II vaccine:

Quote:
"Routine administration of DTP (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis) and/or OPV (oral poliovirus vaccine) concurrently with measles, mumps and rubella vaccines is not recommended because there are limited data relating to the simultaneous administration of these antigens." - MMR II package insert, page 9

These original seven childhood vaccines (smallpox no longer given) have never been tested when cumlatively and simutaneously administered. New vaccines introduced after MMR, DPT and Polio are all ASSUMED that the first seven were safe.

Inserts contain a lot of cya statements that aren't really practically relevant.

For example, DTP and opv aren't even used in the us anymore.

And how are you getting up to twelve doses at once?

Irrelevant. DTaP was assumed safe as it post-dates MMR.

MMR = 3 doses DTaP = 3 doses.

Uh, nooo, it definitely does not mean giving all three doses of those at the same time.

You're taking a statement from the insert about DTP and applying it much more broadly than it was intended. I'm also not at all convinced your claim about them just being assumed to be safe is correct. I've read statements to the contrary several times.

M M R - are a 3-in one vax:  mealses, mumps, rubella

The graphic on the right shows 7 injection sites, but covers 12 vaccines.   Both MMR and DTaP are 3-in-1 shots.
