200 teen and preteen girls with "Mystery Illness"

This may have been posted somewhere already (but I didn't see it). I think it's interesting. As usual, there isn't much info. I'd like to know the exact time frame of the injections, were they all from the same lot, etc.
If anyone has any more info, please post!

"Some have hinted that the town of 95,000 near Colombia's Caribbean coast could be experiencing a rare case of mass hysteria."

Sure, you all received the same vaccine and are all experiencing similar symptoms, but there is "no evidence" that the vaccine is to blame (we won't mention that we are not looking for any). Clearly, all 200 of you are just crazy.

There is no evidence to suggest the vaccine is the cause of this mystery illness.
Here are a few ideas:

1. They are all faking it
2. There is a top secret government mind control program happening in that area
3. Aliens beamed a mind ray over the girls

Remember, it is NEVER the vaccine.

Yes, I've seen two well-known pro-vaccine commenters explaining over and over again why it isn't the vaccine. They haven't tried Becky's explanations...yet.

Here is the bummer: we will probably never know for certain what is up.

There is no test for vaccine reactions - so unless they can prove this is a bad lot (are they even looking?) or find an alternate biological (not speculative )cause for illnesses, we will all just go back to our corners, with our own beliefs. How people can argue they know much of anything about vaccine reactions is beyond me. Sigh.

Book and herb loving mama to 1 preteen and 2 teens (when did that happen?).  We travel, go to school, homeschool, live rurally, eat our veggies, spend too much time...

Unbelievable, but so believable.

I realize not everyone agrees with me on this (which I fully respect) but I'd sure be hurt and offended if i realized I was suffering from a vaccine reaction after my parents gave me a vaccine that was aimed at protecting me from the fact that I'd have sex with an infected partner. Way to set low expectations. This is probably the scariest vaccine out there. Or maybe it's the flu shot..Or...

"Echoing the assurances of national health and toxicology experts, who have traveled to the town to collect blood samples and investigate possible environmental hazards, he said there's no evidence the vaccine, which has undergone extensive testing and regulation globally, is to blame."

No evidence? The listed side effects for Gardasil include fainting and headaches: http://www.gardasil.com/about-gardas...s-of-gardasil/

I also have some serious issues with this:
"...the vaccine, which has undergone extensive testing and regulation globally..." eek

Most of the research I've seen lately about Gardasil is marketing research, aimed at increasing uptake.

I suspect there has also been some behind the scenes research on how to effectively dismiss reports of side-effects from this vaccine.

Wow, I'm really surprised a mainstream media site reported on this, considering how they all first ignored, then obfuscated the CDC MMR whistleblower story.

Oddly, overseas stories of bad stuff with vaccines seem to be less censored than in the US, but of course such stories rarely are read in the US.

The mayor of the town is a medical doctor, if that answers any questions....

Close Becky. Very close. Here is what health officials are saying are the potential causes (taken from this Sanvax article).

Quote:
Now the Minister and Deputy Minister of Health say, without any scientific basis, that since there haven’t been any studies the adverse reactions of the girls in Carmen de Bolivar are not linked to the vaccine. Through the art of sophistry and misdirection they have made the following statements to the mass media:

  • The girls were being affected by Ouija boards,
  • The girls shared symptoms through social media,
  • The girls are victims of mass hysteria and,
  • After conducting some initial tests – the girls suffer from lead poisoning.

When this happened in a town in PA, it was called conversion disorder. And then they claimed the HIPAA law for privacy.
