just a little bit on the flu shot
Was in our local paper and was surprised to read it. I sure hope people do realize they don't need it http://thesunchronicle.com/articles/...n/opinion5.txt
The highly publicized shortage of flu vaccine this year is going to be devastating for that industry and for related medical services.
Why? Because millions of Americans are going to realize they don't need it.
Everyone was asked to step out of line and let the really needy, the elderly and health-care workers, get their shots first, and we did. It made us feel good for the holidays.
Now there is more vaccine than they know what to do with.
They're already down to offering it to average citizens 50 years old and, hey, that's not even old.
A lot of people decided they weren't getting a shot this year, and they probably won't change their minds.
And we may all be stronger for it.
