I'm sure who wrote this article, but the references cited are data from the CDC, WHO and the USCB.

From what I got out of that article..the Pertussis vaccine hasn't done squat. Whether you vax for it or not, you can still get it.
Isn't the shot actually fueling the epidemic rather than eliminating it like they want you to believe based on this article?

What a pile of crap!
The author conveniently forgot to mention the pertussis epidemics in the countries with near 100% vaccination rates.
There was not even a hint of rational thought in that whole article. Even the CDC admits that much of what constitutes epidemic numbers with pertussis might largely be related to the liklihood of doctors to even test for the pathogen.
No epidemic=doc says it's bronchitis.
Epidemic=swab for pertussis.

Even the colorful language of that article reminds me more of a George Romero script than something scientific.

I prefer to look at the actual facts and statistics from the CDC directly - not from some random person writing an article.

Yeah... that's why I said that I didn't know about the actual author. I just appreciated all the information in one spot.

Even though it's misleading?

Why yes, I always love to pull out the most recent copy of Skeptical Inquirer for factual research.
