First a little background I am adopting an 8 month old baby boy from Guatemala. He has been hospitalized 3/4 times with pneumonia/asthma. I have requested no vaccines, but the doctor is pushing me and my agency to get him his "haemophilus influenza and pneumococo" vaccine. They want a note from my pedi. since he is sick again. My pedi. is ok with my no vaccine schedule for my daughter, but would never write a no vaccine letter for me. Any help with what exactly to say to a Pro-vaccine infectious disease specialist in Guatemala? I can't come up with any thing intelligent to say, just NO, not my baby, he is sick...
Thanks for any help you can give me, Karen M
