This is a local story where I live-this is the ONLY press I have seen on it (and it is a small paper).

Quote:
A Delsea Drive day care center for 30 youths has been closed after air monitoring samples showed the presence of elevated levels of mercury.

The Kiddie Kollege center - for children ages 8 months to 13 years old - has been operating since January 2004 in a site formerly used to manufacture thermometers.

Quote:
On Monday, a search of the building's basement revealed actual silver beads of mercury, Frank said.

This makes me wonder what kind of tests they are doing... b/c mercury only stays in urine and blood for a few days. Those tests that mainstream medicine does only measures recent exposure. Hg goes right to organs: brain, liver, and is stored there. As far as I know, hair tests that also test minerals, are the only accurate method. And Challenge tests are dangerous, also employed by mainstream docs.

Wonder what the chelation therapy is that is going to be used.

it's urine samples that will be tested. In no way shape or form will that reveal the amount of damage that has occured in the past or how severe the body burden of the child's mercury store is. So they can probably say to most, "See everything is fine."

I think the best information I would give is get them to ask a question on the Autism-Mercury Yahoo group. Those people really know their stuff.
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Autism-Mercury/

Or see a DAN doctor http://www.autismwebsite.com/ari-lists/danus.html

If I were in NJ, I'd go to James Neubrander, MD.

I thought you al may want to read this blurb:

Quote:
"My head is spinning right now," offered Chuck Todano, a parent of a 4-year-old former Kiddie Kollege student. Todano said his son has been diagnosed as autistic.

"Is it autism or mercury poisoning?" he asked.
http://www.nj.com/news/gloucester/in...530.xml&coll=8

Should this get moved to N&CE?

That is so horrible! My first thought when I saw the story on TV was mercury in a Day care center?! That's really bad and but what's worse is this is in addition to the mercury in vaxxes.(considering residual thimerosal from manufacture and flu shots and such) Now these kids may get a double whammy!

Those poor babies!

This is awuful- especially to happen in a "safe" place for children. Sending good vibes to all involved.

Seven weeks after the mercury-contaminated Kiddie Kollege day-care center closed, a 5-year-old Franklin Township girl still has seizures, unexplained rashes, mysterious illnesses and peeling skin on her fingers and toes, which her attorney says are linked to inhaling the toxic metal.

The girl is among at least a dozen Kiddie Kollege children who still have elevated levels of mercury in their bodies, according to results of a second round of medical tests that were released in recent days to parents.

"What we're seeing is what we suspected before the test came back - the mercury is not leaving their systems quickly enough and they're the cases where you see the symptoms persisting," said Christopher Manganello, a Pitman lawyer who represents the 5-year-old girl with seizures and 17 other Kiddie Kollege children.

The parents and their attorneys have asked state and federal health officials to expand the testing to include children who weren't attending Kiddie Kollege at the time it was closed. They also have asked that testing for all the children continue for decades or more.

It will never happen.

Especially when the integrity of the entire national immunization program is at stake.

My son received 100 micrograms of mercury before he was six months of age, well over what is acceptable for a six month old infant, and the health department certainly wasn't kissin my ass.

What do you think would have happened if I contacted the health department (or the media) back then and told them that my son, along with millions of other children, were exposed to all this mercury?

But break a thermometer in a hospital and the place practically gets shut down.

It's good to see an update on this. I live pretty close to this daycare and while the local news picked up the story a couple of times when the center was first closed, there has been nothing since.

Heaven forbid we inform the public how close mercury poisoning and autism really are.
