I just wanted to say that with all the talk about the Hib vaccine and that excellent post by plummeting in the other thread...really sealed the deal for me.

Dd is breastfed still at 19months and the small risk goes down at 2 and even further at 5 so, Just wanted to put my thanks out there where it could be seen!

You aren't invisible. You rock!

But, I have a fetish for non-vaxing military families.

Hib was an easy one for me, this vax wasn't around when my first two were born, in 1984 and 1987. It was recommended for my 3rd child born in 1995, even though the hand type VIS type statement my dr gave us advised this vaccine was recommended for children in daycare. My son wasn't in daycare, yet the dr said they recommended the shot anyway.

I later read the bogus stats of hib cases prior to the vaccine, and realized they were made up!! They based the numbers on a few states that voluntarily reported hib cases. Hib wasn't nationally notifiable until several years AFTER the vaccine had been licensed.

Thanks, guys - er, gals. I didn't mean to sound all pitiful like that. I don't feel ignored or anything - just that I don't contribute much more than verbal diarrhea.

Was this post in the HiB thread that was removed? Because I didn't get to see that before it went away.

No way chicky, your posts are great. I think I could hold the title for the verbal diarrhea.

Plummetting's verbal diarrhoea is always a good read.

I think we could have a pretty good verbal diarrhoea clique going here...
