I know that TDaP is supposedly an updated version of the DTaP, but does anyone know what makes it different?

TIA!

Actually, the TDaP is simply the adult formulation of the pediatric DTaP, AFAIK!

Just like peds get the DT whereas adults would get TD.

DTaP and Tdap are similar, but they are not the same. DTaP vaccines are approved for a series of 5 doses in children 6 weeks through 6 years of age. Tdap vaccines are only approved for one dose in persons 10 years of age and older. DTaP vaccines contain about the same amount of tetanus toxoid as Tdap vaccines, but more diphtheria toxoid and pertussis antigens.
