It is that time of the year again... and the school needs another Immunization form. Every time my kids enter kindergarten, JH, or High School they require another form. I live in Michigan and philosophical exemptions are accepted here and that is what I have always used.... and I have a couple questions.
1.) I have leaned more toward religious objections and wondered if it would be 'unaccaeptable' to switch' ? I am thinking ahead in case Michigan would every change their law?
2.) The standard Michigan waiver form states: "By signing this waiver, you acknowledge that you are placing your child and others at risk of serious illness should he or she contract a disease that could have been prevented through proper vaccination." Would you sign this form as is? I try not to make too much of a scene because it is a private christian school and they do not have to accept waivers although they always have.
And now just a comment... i have learned so much on this board and from all of you! I am completely unvaccinated 35 year old mom to 3 unvaccinated kids.... I am very comfortable of my decision and the hours I have spent online reading has made me feel better armed with information. THANK YOU!!
