Saw this in The West Australian:

Humans could be genetically modified to resist cancer, a French scientist says. Dr. Miroslav Radman, from the University of Paris, has altered the DNA of mice to keep them free of cancer for two years, despite being bombarded with radiation and other carcinogenic substances.
In the future, he said, scientists could add a gene to the human DNA to create a vaccination against cancer that would be passed down to children...
Makes perfect sense to me. Just think, we could expose ourselves to all the radiation we want if we just alter our DNA! Brilliant!!!
