Just returned from Tharen's 2yr well check..... and he is still 100% vax free. WOOT!!! I knew you ladies would appreciate this. DR H is really good about it, he's never given us a hard time. Today he gave us kudos on how wonderfully healthy Tharen is. He is never sick, I mean never. He's had one sick appt in his entire life adn I only took him in because dh had strep and I wanted to make sure he didn't have it too. His was a complication of seasonal allergies. He of course doesn't compliment us on not vaxing, but he doesn't knock us for it either (never mentions it) he does strongly believe that my kids are so healthy cause I breastfeed for so long. He was complimenting me on making it 2yrs so far with Tharen. He is developing right on track, doing really really well. And he is a big big boy. He is 30lbs 12 ozs and 36 inches tall. That's 80% for weight and 90% for height. And he is making lots of nice healthy eating choices. Yay!!!!!!

Great post! Super mommy!

P.S.
Once a child has had strep he built immunity and is far less likely to have it again. abx is no longer indicated for strep throat.

Gitti, if I start a thread in H&H, would you mind elaborating on this:

I am curious too because I had strep probably 3-5 times a year during my childhood.

OP way to go!!! Sounds like you have the perfectly healthy child we all hope for.
