this is SO FRUSTRATING. i have SO much mental nesting energy. and i'm DYING to clean out places, declutter, re-organize, get rid of stuff, make other stuff more efficient, etc...unparallelled *mental* energy.

but my body? good lord. she does not wanna cooperate. it's SO difficult for me to move around right now and that's really putting a cramp in my nesting!!!

anybody else experiencing this??

ugh totally! I want to get soooooo much done but I physically can't. it hurts, I am exhausted, I can't sleep at night and I am afraid that by the time the baby comes I will have gotten nothing more done than I have at this point already! I even re-introduced coffee and caffiene a few weeks ago- that helped for about a week but now I have re-habituated to the one cup a day and don't get the same boost of energy out of it.

YES!!! I'll get an energy burst and can get a lot done in about an hour or so and then I'm completely exhausted. Yesterday I did this and my back was killing me by evening and I felt much worse than I do on days where I just take it easy. In addition to that any kind of activity causes me to contract like crazy so I have to be careful about how much I allow myself to do. Gotta keep this baby in as long as possible!

I'm right there with you! I am trying really hard to finish making all my diapers amongst all the other crap that needs to be done around here and am finding it soooooo difficult. It's not really that I am tired, just feeling lazy and totally uncomfortable. I keep hoping that will change soon

Oh, I am right there with you. The sad part is that I do *have* the energy, just not at the time when I'm home to do a damn thing about it. Then my family messes up whatever I do right behind me. For the next couple months, my only goal is to keep "on top" of everything (basic tidying, laundry, kitchen) so DH and I don't get embarassed when I go into labor and someone comes to watch the kiddos.

Totally! My mom called last night and asked what I was doing. I told her I was reorganizing the closets. She was like, "At night?!"

I tend to get things done in spurts. I'll work really hard for a day, then rest for two or three.

I am feeling so much the same way! There is so much I want to get done but I just sit around and watch the days go by: I am just not physically motivated to do much of anything. We have nothing ready for the baby, I have a ton of work to do for my business before she gets here, and a few large cleaning/organizing projects that I really need to do before she is here too. And even though I have it all planned out in my head and I am so excited to get it all done I just can't get my body to move

Now to top it off I am sick. I mean really sick. I feel like someone punched me in the face, I am so congested My girls are sick too (they got it first) it is a very slow and nasty virus and I just started feeling sick yesterday so it looks like the worst is still ahead of me

Same here! I did have a huge cleaning burst on Saturday... but I paid for it! Fortunately DP gave me some back rubbing and I took a nice long bath. I wish I had more stamina and back strength to do everything I want to do.

Totally in the same boat. I've been thinking of splurging and hiring from Merry Maids to do most of the deep spring cleaning needed in the kitchen and bathrooms especially. It just hurts my back too much to bend over and clean tubs & floors and unfortunately, DP doesn't do a thorough job that is needed before little bean gets here.

i haven energy out the hoo-hoo during the day, but by the time i get home from work at 2 pm i am beat! week after next i start working only 4 hrs a day giving people lunches, and im hoping to get some stuff done then. were trying to turn our storage room into a room for the computer so i have a spot to put a chair out here in the living room for nursing. right now that just seems like a never- ending task. our apartment is tiny, and im going nuts thinking of ways i can organize/ things i can get rid of to give us some more room.

I've been this way almost the entire pregnancy :\

There have been a couple of weekends when I've been motivated and gotten some stuff done, but overall I've been so lazy. I have a room full of junk that needs to be organized, too. Maybe I can convince my husband to do it

Yep! And this has pretty much been the entire pregnancy for me! I finally broke down and hired someone to clean my house for me! The first time in my life.... so it wasn't an easy decision. She came today and cleaned the bathrooms today- really cleaned them. So I had enough mental energy to tackle the kids' room. I even got all the crap out from underneath their bed and dresser. (and I was up all night with a coughing kid, so I felt pretty good about myself). DH was joking around that I was cleaning before the cleaning lady came and I had to explain to him that was my whole idea! Not having to do all the weekly stuff, frees up my time and energy to do de-cluttering and organizing. I have bags of stuff all over the house I need to take to Goodwill! It feels pretty darn good. And I really don't think I'm going to miss cleaning the floors and bathrooms! The hard party is this is only temporary...

I've had bursts of energy, too, but only after I take the first pains to get something started. I picked a couple of things off the floor in the master closet, and BOOM - I had things off the shelves and stayed with it for an hour or so. It looks so nice! I did the same with the laundry room 2 days later.

Now, not so much. I still have so much I want to do (the pantry, freezer and refrigerator, guest bath, master bedroom, hall closet, some yard work...). And I'm slowly working on packing my hospital bag and getting things ready around here for laboring. Will I ever get any more done?

Try starting something and see if a wind hits you. That's how it works for me.

Happy wife and also mommy to my two boys, 12-12-07 (c-sec) and 04-05-09 (vbac!) and another due in December.

man, i wish my kids napped. LOL or maybe not because then they'd be up late!

i've been able to do things in spurts. weekends i get some stuff done, at least i did until this week. cleaned out my office, got a bunch of stuff purged from our closets and dining room, etc...i was going strong until maybe 2 weeks ago i guess and then it started waning. quickly. like pretty much a dead stop. LOL

a friend might be coming over on sunday to help me to some more stuff, i just hope i have the energy to DO it and don't end up sitting on my duff pointing to things and telling her what to do. that isn't very nice.

and i've decided that once i get the major decluttering/straightening done (which could take a couple more weeks) i'm gonna hire someone to come in and deep clean.

I can completely relate! It is so frustrating. I've got the ideas and plenty of things to do, but no action. I'm hoping that my hormones will kick me into gear sooner than later. But just holding a conversation makes me winded! I've got to get it together. I was going to plant seeds in my garden -the beds are ready- but then this wave of fatigue hit me and I sat right back down. : When you get to the action part of the nesting please send me some of those vibes. My baby comes in three weeks!

well i did have another surge of energy yesterday and today, so we've gotten quite a bit done. of course, as always, there's tons more to do. a lot of stuff is in transition phase. like in boxes waiting to donate/sell/trash/store in the attic for later, etc.

but we've also gotten quite a few trashbags outta here which feels great.

reorganized the kids' closet yesterday and purged a bunch of toys today.

also found some baby clothes for Riley (from Ava).

today i'm gonna tackle a project i've been wanting to do forever - using an old piece of my DH's desk to make a little shelf-y stand for the dollhouse my uncle made for me when i was little. i think i'm gonna get started now, actually.

I have good days, alternating with bad.
Yesterday the baby room/craft room finally started taking shape: I cleaned and sorted and organized, and then collapsed. today i am worthless...
slept late, took a two hour nap, and am struggling to get the work I have to get sent out done.
super crampy though, last night I had a contraction that definately was NOT a braxton hicks: it felt like a charley-horse throughout my torso.
Never had one of THOSE before. maybe I overdid it on the floor scrubbing....
