I know this is gonna come back to bite me, watched pot never boils and all, but I'm already starting to obsess over everything and wonder if there any signs of when I will go into labor. One of the reasons is that I've just had a feeling all along this baby would come several weeks early. The other is that I want my little sister to be here for it, and she's a three hour drive away. So I really feel like I have to call her *as soon as* I feel *anything* going on!

So, (TMI) someone posted about having diarrhea before labor, I have been having more frequent and loose stools the last two days, but not diarrhea. The only other change I've noticed is that the last two nights when I am up for several hours and can't sleep, the next day I don't even notice or feel overtired. I'm doing fine with less sleep! Last night I was up from 2-5am and I was thinking that I was going to skip taking the kids to their swim class, but I got up at 7:50am and made breakfast, got everyone dressed, and had time to spare before leaving.

So those are two things I've noticed.

I need to update my sig to show my due date. Post yours if it's not in your sig.

Yes! yes! yes! I am due april 7, I am 37 weeks today. Two of my three kids were born by now. I had false labor on Sunday, turned out to be dehydration. I had two hours of contractions, only to have them stop within an hour of getting to the hospital. Such a tease! Now although I'm still really early, we are all waiting around like I'm already late!
I think because I've had losses I am very impatient to just have him NOW and know that he is okay. So glad I'm not the only one obsessing!

I'm 34 weeks and thinking it's only a matter of time. Several weeks ago I was in the hospital with false labor (UTI it turns out)

It doesn't help that the doc told me his shoulders are already settled in my hips...so he's getting quite ready

I'm not due until the 19th but I want to be ready so badly! I keep getting funny feelings in my cervix, especially after I go for long walks. I really hope to get an exam at my next appointment (a week from today), just for curiosity's sake. I want to know if things are actually happening when I feel like they are.

37 weeks today here and also watching that pot. I've had some bloody show today along with some contractions. Also had contractions Saturday that dilated me up to a 2 from a 1. Baby has descended even further (I have no idea how that was even possible!) so now emptying my bladder takes a LOT of effort with that head in the way

I've also been 1 cm since 30 weeks and 1/2 since 7 weeks, so I'm trying my best to take this all with a grain of salt

I don't know. I'm not checking my dilation (until 39 weeks if I make it that far). My baby has moved down--her kicks aren't as high up and emptying my bladder is more difficult. Had a urinalysis today (unit did a 100%)--that was fun with this big belly in the way. I can't do aerobics anymore, but am walking a lot. Is it too early (almost 36 weeks) to start RRL tea and EPO? But, I do so want to make it to April so her birthstone will be diamonds (and our birthdays will fall perfectly--April, May, June, June (was supposed to be July), July)

DH and I are also getting "nesty" and I'm anxious to get "wrapped up" at work.

I'm due the 10th of April, I was 3 cm dialated at 36 weeks, (I'm almost 37 now) I'm nesting to the extreme, having a ton of contractions, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I figure I still have 3-4 weeks to go

I went around 41 weeks both previous births...

i dont know that is going to happen *really* soon, but i think baby is lower now. im more uncomfortable unless im laying in a certain position, and i suddenly have to pee even more than i was before. i had dd at 38 weeks, so i could be having this baby sooner than later- but im trying not to get my hopes up. lol. she needs to wait at least until the rest of my birth supplies come in the mail for our homebirth! and at least another week because im not full term yet. for some reason though i am antsy about going to work next week even though ill only be 37 weeks- maybe because of all the nesting i feel i should be doing.

Leah- mama to Audrey born 12/29/03 and Gwyneth born 4/1/2009! Soon to be TTC #3!

This is definitely me... I am trying to have patience and just accept that he will probably be born in a good 3 and a half weeks or so (which isn't that long after all, eh?).

I'm so trying not to expect this one early just because our son was early the first time around, but I'm sure as I get to the 37 week mark I'll probably start getting a little impatient. Must be calm...

I feel like I can not possibly stretch one more iota before my skin will split. On the other hand baby seems to be floating around up high and still doing flips or hanging out transverse.

Ready to be done with the heartburn, have the doctor and hospital plans in place now at least, but still have TONS to do before I'm ready! Plus all that stuff you *should* do, like eat super healthy every day, walk 2 miles, do my self-hypnosis, do my prenatal yoga- I'll have to get back into it tomorrow. :-) If I can at least do ONE thing per day I should be ready by the time baby decides to make his debut!

Great motto (for those of us who are motivationally challenged )

I'm not obsessing that much, I'm 36+5 today (dd was born 41+3 weeks).

But I'm kind of surprised that more April babies haven't been born yet! I've been stalking the March ddc & by Feb 15, lots of babies had been born. I mean I'm really happy that we haven't had many preemies, but still... weird...

38 weeks here and I need those extra 2 weeks right now. I still have a few things to do. I was really laid back w/ this pregnancy.

I am just finishing building up the new dresser we got.
Half the baby cloths needs to dry and then put away.
Still have to prep them diapers (and find a detergent to wash the w/. I was using dreft but stopped because of something I read that I should use it for the diapers)
Make a few more covers
Lanolize the 4 wool ones I made so far
Get the car seat out
Wash some other things
etc....
AHHHHHHHHHH:

I am really hoping to do all of these things by Sun.

I'm feeling close however I went to the OB today and they checked me and I am not dialated at all, cervix is postierer (sp?) and her head is still high. She is measuring big so they told me that if I would like to be induced at 39 weeks (3 weeks to go) they will induce me. I think I may go for the induction however I will only let them strip my membranes no pitocin for me!

Is it safe to deliver a 34weeker at home? I'll be 34 weeks tomorrow. I would love to have this baby soon, even tho nothing is ready.

I'm shooting for the 21st because thats my Aunt Aileen's birthday. She passed away last Friday. Just got back from the funeral. Over 300 people were there to pay their respect. She was an incredible blessing to us all. The family sang hymns to her during her passing. They litterally sang her up to heaven. I wish I was there for that. I really do miss her.

Due the 29th. other dd was born on the 29th of Nov. My sister and I have the same date of the month too. It would be a nice coinsidence.

I think the main "danger" to the diapers w/ Dreft is if they are pocket diapers (it can cause build up & wicking). If you're just prepping prefolds Dreft should be okay. Check out this website for great diaper / detergent compatibility info

Nope- 34 weekers still don't have fully developed lungs. I don't know any midwives who would attend a planned homebirth @ 34 weeks (36-37 weeks is usually the minimum).

Your Aunt Aileen sounds like an awesome woman- what an incredible funeral!!!

I'm feeling close. I'm 37 weeks but DS was born by now so I'm expecting to at least not go past my due date. I have my money on next week at 38 weeks. I was dilated to 2 cms and 70% effaced last week. I go in tomorrow so we'll see if there has been any progression in that department. I'm having major BH ctxs as well as more and more painful ctxs.

Haha! I hear you. I'm not stirring it, and trying not to watch it, but I am super anxious. I am really going to try and enjoy my last weeks of my last pregnancy, I swear. I always hate to have attention paid to me but I've decided I'll go ahead and be the center of attention until this little one gets here

I wish I had the experience to say whether or not Peanut is beginning to drop down. Last night, I was doing my thing (video gaming in my kewl gaming chair) and it was squirming all over the place and really becoming painful down low. I had to lay down to feel better. That hasn't happened before, and I found it odd. I'm attributing it to a growth spurt.

I'm 34 weeks and I have to assume that we're not too close yet. Peanut's butt is still right up in the middle of my belly sticking out. It swivels a lot -- to the left, to the right... and it fits into the palm of my hand (my hands aren't that small). Peanut is a pretty decent size already for what little space is available. >.<

As far as being "ready," I never will be. I am finishing the bedroom, dealing with some yardwork (now that it's warmish out), buying a few things, making lists and trying to manage all the other household issues that normally arise in the spring.

I expect and want to deliver early. As early as safely possible. I am anxious to start experimenting with the diapers and everything else that's just sitting around waiting for this baby. And, most of all, I am anxious to drop some weight and get back to being "me." I can't stand being so awkward, helpess feeling and generally predisposed to fatigue just from walking around the house with this heavy load. Bleh.

I'm somewhere b/w 37-38 weeks now (we don't know the conception date, so going with "first week of april").

Supply-wise, we're ready for her arrival. Life-wise, not so much. DH still has a work project to wrap up that's been requiring insane hours, but right now he's on hold waiting for something else to be fixed. So he's got about another week of the heavy schedule... only it's probably not going to start again until next week. And I've got a few more assignments to finish up for my schoolwork... hoping to get those done this week. If I can get schoolwork done before baby arrives, I'll be good with that. DH will take off from work regardless of where his work project stands. Or even if he has to go in a little bit, I've got a great support network here.

I do still need to figure out what we're going to do with DD1 while I'm laboring at home, and then when we do go to the hospital. No family local to call in the middle of the night. Lots of friends, but most have their own kids who still need them during nighttime. That's the last thing on my list for birth-prep.

OK, I'm joining this thread for the obsessing part, but I'm starting to get disappointed and I need to be talked out of it! I will be 37 weeks Friday so I'm so close to full term now! I think I've been doing too much (I've been walking a lot and playing Wii fit and DTD a lot and staying up late) hoping to keep myself busy and maybe help baby get a move on!! I am getting discouraged though because I'm pretty much to the point that everyone warned about where I'm getting more and more uncomfortable and I'm sore and it hurts to walk, etc. Sometimes I think 3 weeks until my due date (and hopefully not much after) is really in no time (which is very true) and others I just can't imagine going late!!!! This time is so hard because it is very much out of our hands and now I'm focusing on the labor and delivery and hoping that everything goes smoothly and I'll tell you I can't wait to hear his first cry. I have an appt tomorrow and I have a feeling she will tell me "nothing's happening" again. I know that even if things were happening it could still be weeks away, but it might feel good mentally to hear things are happening? I dunno . I am going to ask her at what point she will be willing to strip my membranes, but I'm guessing she'll say when I'm 40 or 40+ weeks.

Warning this post may be whiny and venting! Really Impatient and done mommy here!

I am so ready to be done. I know I should be enjoying the end of my last pg but really this whole pg has been hard from the 2nd tri on and just want to hold him.Phsyically I hurt everyday, from bad knees to CXs that seem to do nothing and not sleeping. Even grocery shopping hurts by the end.And I am at the point that I am sooooo ready to be done w/ GD and always having to watch every little thing I put in my mouth.I haven't gained any weight this whole pg either (actually still at -3 lbs) and that is just another stress I have to push out of my mind daily.

There is only a few things left I need to do for the house- vaccum (floors, chairs and couches),sweep/move the furniture, mop (hard wood floors) and pick up the left over construction waste left in the front yard, from the guys who did the roof. I know all the things are going to be really hard on me physically so I've been putting them off for last or until I can get someone/anyone to help me.

I have everything prepped w/the exception of the CDs. I haven't gotten them yet and am not expecting them till the 1st week of April- but we knew this and palnned on using disposibles the first few weeks anyways so not something I am stressing on. We have 3 packs of newborns already.

I am at 36 wks today. Once I hit 35 I was done. I had ds4 at 34 wks and felt safe after 36. Ideally I'd like to go at 37 but have a feeling I will end up being induced around 40 (2 previous inductions) because of the GD.Part of me wants to induce earlier but then mommy guilt kicks in and I know I should just be patient and wait for when he's ready.

Ok I'm sorry I knew this would sound really bad when I started it and it does. I'm just feeling so angry today (hormones) and its wearing on me. I want me back and to be able to hold this lo and know finally for sure he's healthy and perfect.

I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one who is stressing about this LO's health. I had a miscarriage before and when I passed the point of worrying about miscarrying again I thought I'd feel all better. I didn't even realize how much worrying goes along with the whole pregnancy. I have had many u/s's and they have all shown this little guy to be as healthy as can be and he moves all the time, etc. I am just so anxious to hold him in my arms and hear him cry and I've been focusing more on that now.

everyone...

not too anxious...but I think it's because I have a feeling this baby is going to term and beyond. I'm guessing 4/4...we'll see. That's still only a little over 2 weeks away!!

Mama to one little blur, watching everything move too fast. Eden 4/10/2009.
