Both babies passed the carseat test! Now they've just got to take all their feeds for 48 hours, and we can go home! They've taken them all today so far, so cross your fingers!!

And, they're taking full feeds while nursing! They get to nurse three times a day now and we can increase it by one nursing a week til they're fully breastfeeding. They're doing a wonderful job! I'm glad they know what they're doing, cause I sure didn't.

I tried, but no one seemed very interested and they didn't seem to believe that they were preemies since they were so big. Maybe we're not having enough problems?

Too bad all preemies aren't 5-6 pounds...doesn't mean they didn't have a rough start.

Anyway, soooo AWESOME!!!! ::: Take lots of pictures of their trip home so the rest of us can live vicariously...I know we don't have long, but it's dragging . xoxo to Benny and Emmaline!!

Mama to one little blur, watching everything move too fast. Eden 4/10/2009.

really? things must have changed since my boys were born.

I only asked because of the bf. My boys were mostly bottled fed in the nicu but I nursed them when I was there. When they came home I just nursed them. DH would give them bottles but I nursed them only giving an occasional bottle. I got a lot of support and advise from the nicu/preemie board. With in a week or two I was just nursing them, dh was still giving bottles when he came home and over nights but during the day they were bf.

I ended up having to stop bf because of their health issues at 6 & 7mths but I don't think I would have gotten that far without the bf advise I got from the preemie board
