I just can't believe it. I am only 38 1/2 weeks, DS was 9 days late. It broke around 8am after I got a saw alot of mucus thing. I was wondering if it was some of my mucus plug and then I got trickles of water. DS water also broke early, took 46 hours before I went into labor. I still have no contractions with this one. I am going to the MW house later just to verify but I know it is. Maybe it might seal back, it is not in abundance as DS own was but enough that I am on my 3rd underwear and now wearing a prefold that is half soak.

I still had stuff to do though. Good thing DH doesn't work on Fridays. He cleaned the bathrom and I finish folding up the baby cloths and putting them away. So I am going to tidy up the place (after DH finish building the eliptical, yea things sound relax huh).

-The flats still need a few more washes (and I was going to get the detergent and do it today, now I have to).
-I did some wool covers but they are not lanolize as yet, but was doing some wool wraps also, I will see if I can finish them today.
-Need to run to the store and get some baby pins, wash & shampoo and maybe some lotion, I used shea butter w/ DS and I have that on hand now.

DS has a ped. appt. today also and we need to go shopping for food..geez

Alright let me go finish cleaning.

Good luck!!!! Maybe all the things you have to do today will help you go into labor faster than you did with your DS!! How exciting, our first full term baby! :

It seems like you are miles ahead of me in the preparation department. I will be lucky to be as prepared as you two weeks from now. Enjoy your nesting.

Looking forward to our next birth announcement.
Reading about yours and other labors from our DDC has really helped me connect with my own birth and making preparations!

I will, basically done cleaning except the living room because DH still working on the eliptical But I am getting ready to gather all the thrash to take out. Going to see the MW, go to DS appt., and go shopping for food and the rest supplies for the baby. I do hope the baby comes w/ in two days. I don't like the idea of my water being broken for so long. Last time I had to keep taking my temp. every 4 hrs, then taking Vit. C and some herbal tinture, but I need at least this day to finish up most of the preparation.

Not in your DDC, but I had three who went past 40 weeks....41w2d, 40w3d, 40w3d....and THEN with my fourth the water broke to start at 38w4d. Some babies have their own ideas!

Have a wonderful labor and birth!

How exciting! It doesn't sound like contractions have started? I would do some good walking and positioning stuff- sometimes those babies can get in the wrong position when waters break before labor starts! (speaking from experience!).

Yippie!!! Here come the babies :
