There have been several mentions of blogs around here lately, so I thought it would be fun if we all shared our blog links. I'll go first. I only get to update maybe once a week or so, but I'm trying to do it more often because I have lots of ideas for posts that I haven't written yet.

Anyone else?

I've got one as well. My personal life is a train wreck right now and I don't get much chance to write (and most of my recent entries are friends-only) so yeah....

Anyone else on OD?

I started my blog around the time we found out we were pregnant, but didn't post much until recently. I am using it to process some of my feelings. Here it is:

I just checked out your blog, and your little girl is so precious! Your diaper story made me laugh--we have moments like that at least once a week. I ssaw her hip dysplasia get-up, and I was thinking since you like baby wearing, you might want to try a Babyhawk mei tai--it would put her hips in that exact same position.

I just checked out all of your blogs

Lindsay, you crack me up with the sign above the bed & I like your writing style.
secondimpression, I'm sorry the birth was so hard, my first birth was very similar, I think you sound like a great young mama.
racie, your baby is adorable! I left a comment, that blue sling is gorgeous & I love that pic!
bodhitree, I have that exact diaper drama all the time! I love the picture of her with the harness, she has style with that tie dye! I agree about the babyhawk recommendation. Perhaps you could show it to the doc & she could hike with your dh in the babyhawk out of the harness once in awhile since it would keep her in a similar position?

I have a blog of the baby with not a lot of text or personal info... I can never think of much to say but I take a lot of photos. There's also a link on there to another site for our kiddo -- I send a "photo of the day" every day and my sister made a blog of them. So yeah, he's 5 weeks old and he has two websites.

I'm also over at LiveJournal. kayranord.livejournal.com
I used to be pretty much friends only, but I've been opening up more. Though I don't write meaningful well-composed entries much... it's more for journaling and keeping in touch with some old friends.

I have a blog, here, and I've been updating it fairly frequently lately... I really slacked off during pregnancy, probably because I was spending more of my internet time here!

Christian wife, busy happy mama to 4yo DS, 3yo DD, 15mo DS, and #4, expected next spring!

I am totally bookmarking all of these.

Gnatty, I'm also bookmarking the link about how to make tile coasters. That looks so fun and easy!

Re: getting a Babyhawk, I would love to have one but it's not in the budget right now. I'm eyeing mei tais on Etsy for less than half the price...I might end up with one of those. But we just found out the other day it'll be $1000 to fix the a/c in DH's car, so I'll be cutting back on my (already frugal) spending for a while.

I LOVE reading all these blogs! NONE of our situations are the same and I really enjoy reading about all of you and seeing the beautiful pics of your families.

Kristin - That harness seriously looks like leg warmers or something. I was expecting something a little... scarier maybe? It really doenst look out of place or anything!

2ndimpression - Bigs hugs for you. Ugh, hate the tough times.

Racie - now I see why Ben is giving the finger in those pics, he sounds so miserable in those videos! Hopefully the reflux will get better soon.

ilek - your birth story just LOOKS beautiful! I love the pics of you getting the sect, you look like the cover of a romance novel, your curls look perfectly placed on the hospital bed! Joyce staring at you is an amazing picture too!

liseux - I LOVE the first pic on your blog. Big brother holding the baby is the cutest!!!

peony - I remember the first time dd1 wrote her name too. I doubt there was a prouder parent in the world!!!

oolongtea - i love the pic of Mason in the dino shirt crying. He literally looks like his world is collapsing. I love when babies have emotions like that!

momtokimari - I dont think I read your birth story yet, its awesome! You were 33 weeks and mathias was 5 LBS?! Was that big for 33 weeks? Seem sit to me!

sallyn - How did the car buying go?!

afwife - where the heck do you get the energy to not only post blogs but to have useful info in them?!

goodmomma - I just love sibling pictures, I hope you frame that one of big brother and sister

All you have to do is go to one of the popular free blogging sites, create a login, and follow the steps to register a blog. I use Wordpress. It's very easy--they have "themes" that you can choose from to control how your blog looks, so you don't have to design it yourself. And creating posts is also very easy. If you want to insert pictures in your posts, you usually have to upload them to an image-hosting site like Flickr, then insert html links into your posts as you're writing them. It's a lot easier than I thought it would be.

heh... I'll be giving a low-ball offer later today. Unfortunately, we ran into a paperwork hiccup on one of our trade-ins, that the DMV won't fix (which is fine) but the dealer didn't want to give us a reasonable quote for it. They're getting much closer to their deadline to have cleared their inventory so... we'll see what they say.

thanks for reading!

Twitter is a social networking site that allows you to follow people and what they do. It works similar to status updates on facebook, but there's no profile attached to it. Twitter updates (Tweets) are restricted to 140 characters.

Working Mom to DS1 (05/09) and DS2 (08/11).

yup, good descrip. I didn't know till i started mine yesterday. I'll see how i like it and may start a blog...twitter forces you to keep it short so its faster. and it doesn't ask for alot of info i don't like to put online...facebook asks too much for me...
