Oh how worrisome Rachel. I'm so sorry you have to have this on your mind now with everything else going on. I hope that it has cleared up by now and no more spotting. Are you going to follow up with your OB or just wait and see how it goes? Thinking of you!

Thanks, heather. I passed a couple of really small clots last night, back to spotting today. Still no real cramps. I have my first appointment with my OB (We just moved here six months ago) on Tuesday, so I don't really see any benefit to trying to go before then, if things continue like this. DS has an immune deficiency, so I try to keep from exposing him unnecessarily to hospitals.

Right. They might be able to get you in Monday if you'd rather. I wouldn't go to a hospital either if I could help it. I'm very sorry. It isn't fair you have to go through this by yourself. Well not totally by yourself, we're all here for you this weekend! Hang in there.

I'm just hanging on by my claws too. I either had a period 2 weeks ago despite being pregnant or it was a missed miscarriage or who knows. I'm anxiously waiting to see if my bloodwork numbers go up as they should at this point. I have taken 4 pregnancy tests so far plus the one at the doctors, they are all telling me yes, but I still feel worried. On top of that I am really ill, coughing so hard I'm afraid I'm going to dislodge something and of course unable to take any medicine for it. :

That's why I'm on here so much. That's why I was on here so much after my miscarriage. I can talk to you all, I don't want to get my friends and family wrapped up in this yet in case of another disappointment.

DS finally went to sleep, so I foresee a nap in my future! :

oh, rachel, I'm so sorry you're spotting! I know how horribly stressful it is waiting to know what's going on. Sending you tons of positive thoughts for this babe.

Ugh, just found out we are supposed to spend the day with very pg SIL tomorrow. They don't know I'm pg yet (and I want to keep it that way) so I have to act like I don't feel like death AND that being around pregnant women doesn't still make me crazy. Wish me luck on that one!

Hi all. Just got a BFP with HPT yesterday. This is my second pregnancy. My first was a chemical that ended in November 07. I have been trying to get pg since then and finally have. I'm a little worried. I had an IUI w/ clomid and am using progesterone suppositories. I am going in for bloodwork tomorrow. What can I expect in terms of hcg and progesterone levels. what's good what's bad? Thanks for sharing!!

as far as prog...i think most doctors like to see it over 20, but since you are on prog anyway it will probably be fine. hcg's can vary depending on dpo. check out betabase.inf for the averages... congratulations!!

hey guys-

it's not looking good. Still only those few clots Friday night (like the size of an earthworm, sorry if that's TMI), and pink to light red spotting since then.

Having very light cramps off and on today. I just wish I knew, although I believe it's a m/c (which is what I thought when I lost ds's twin, it was quite similar). I will definitely call in the morning and see if they can see me a day early. The waiting is so hard, and it will be a major undertaking if I end up needing some sort of intervention with DH gone (we don't know a soul here except for ds's therapists).

My mom is coming to visit for a week on the 26th and I was all worried about keeping the pregnancy from her (this is not financially the best time for us). How ironic.

I'm sure you will all understand my next statement- I have decided to accept that I'm losing my baby, rather than trying to have hope (though I don't have anything definitive either way). It's easier, and I don't have the emotional energy to keep my hopes up.

so i'm 6 weeks today and am so scared about getting through the next couple weeks. our m/c in april was discovered at 8 weeks, but had stopped growing at 6w 2d....every little cramp, every little twinge, everytime i sit down i'm feeling my bbs making sure they are still sore...i'm a woman obsessed and i feel like it's making me batty!

i'm on prometrium - 300mg 3x a day. i know it can make you crampy, etc...but everytime it happens (and i also know this is normal part of early pregnancy) i'm sure this is it... it's going to be a very long 2 weeks or so...

oh, and i'm terrified to go get an u/s even though i found a place in austin who does them for free...i can't afford it otherwise. i don't know if i want to know if it's bad...

i'm still got all my symptoms of course. with the last pregnancy they weren't very strong and started fading about this time...and i've had no spotting to speak of. i'm just a paranoid mess right now...and super irritable. my poor family..

Hi Ladies!! I have been away and am so happy to be back and able to communicate with all of you! It's so hard not having anyone to talk to about this besides dh. We did tell my parents this past weekend as my mom asked me (she saw my prenatal vitamins although I've been taking them since the miscarriage off and on mostly on). Anyway, it felt good to share it with them. I'm 6w2d by my calculations today. I have an ultrasound on Thursday to make sure this one is viable. I am SO SCARED!! I'm so sorry for those of you going through spotting, etc. This is such a tough time. I'm constantly analyzing how I feel as well. I read on here that someone said they had one cramp last time that felt pretty significant. I did last time as well. It was almost debilitating. It was so strong and after my legs tingled for a little while. I felt the same strong cramp when I had what was either a period or most likely the miscarriage completing back in May. This weekend I had some almost dull stabbing feelings. DEFINITELY not the same as that one debilitating one that I felt in the past, but every little twinge makes me so nervous! Did I read that dull stabbingish, pulling feelings are normal. I realized it seems to me to be a good sign as it felt like stretching pains like my uterus was stretching. I cannot wait to see a heartbeat!!!!

As if I (we) don't have enough to worry about. Ok...so I'm pregnant and I'm ecstatic - but I'm worried....

My husband and I are supposed to leave for Europe on September 5th for a week.

Are we crazy to go?

Do plane rides lead to miscarriage?

What do we do?

I haven't talked to my Dr. yet, but I will today.

Plane rides are only risky in the 3rd trimester from what I've heard and that is only because of the risk of going into labor on a plane. I just went to and from the Bahamas on a plane this past week and I am 6w2d. I think you will be absolutely fine! The only thing I'd worry about is being exposed to anything while you are there, but if you are going to traditionally touristy cities you should be just fine!

Here's a little snippet I just read:

Generally, women who are having a healthy, normal pregnancy are free to come and go as they please. However, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends women don’t fly after their 36th week of pregnancy.

I love Europe, just take care of yourself and yeah stick to eating things you know are ok and won't make you sick!

things tapered off last night, but today I started having regular contractions/cramps. I am still not bleeding a ton, but my body is definitely trying to do something on it's own.

I am getting too lightheaded to drive to the hospital to see my doctor (over 2 different mountain passes, it's just too dangerous when I feel like this). So I'll plan on keeping tomorrow's appointment. It just occurred to me that my cervix never dilated during labor, even with pitocin- I had to be manually dilated because I have a ton of scar tissue. So I am a little worried about how things are going to work.

Sorry to be such a downer, but I know you mamas understand. the only good I can see from this is that I can get tested myself now to see if there's anything I can do to prevent this from happening in the future.

Is that good? They can't tell how far along I am by those #s? I looked on Googe and it appears I'm in the 4th week if the numbers are god.

The OB nurse said since they are going up its a good sign and they want me to come in for an ultrasound to date it in one week. Geeze, its going to be a long week!

hey mamas- just wanted to let you know I didn't see my doc today. I was having wicked cramping for about an hour this morning and didn't feel safe to drive. The cramping is gone, bleeding is about the same, but my boobs still hurt. My appointment is at 1 tomorrow, so I'll let you know one way or the other how it goes. Send some good vibes my way, if you can, mamas.

I had morning sickness with my son, none with my miscarriage. None yet this pregnancy. I think it started at about 7 weeks last time though, so I'm not quite there yet...

Anyone else hoping they start having chunks and being nauseous all the time?
