OK so this will sound crazy but I am already having round ligament pain: I had it terribly with Meadow but it didn't start until my second trimester. I am only 6 weeks!!! Does anyone know of any exercises I can do to help build up my pelvic muscles? I have to do something now because if I don't I think by the third trimester I might not be able to walk

from what I've read briefly online seems to say it's a 2nd trimester thing- but I swear I'm there with you. When I cough, when I move in bed... in fact last night I moved and cursed out loud it hurt so bad. Scared my DH- but seriously- that was sharp!

What exactly IS round ligament pain? I've heard about it a lot, but where will I feel it and what does it feel like?

I've been having a lot of pain on the top of my uterus but I know that's from something different. And, as long as I'm asking questions, anyone know what the pain/soreness is on the top of my uterus?

Thanks!!!!!!!!

Round ligament pain is off to the side between your hip and uterus and is a stretching type of pain. It's hard to describe. I had it really early with my second as well but it didn't get any worse at the end than my first pregnancy. I've had a litte already with this pregnancy. I'm also getting pain in my pubic bone. I think it is seperating already. Ouch! I don't know what exercises help but I do know that the slower I stand up, sit up, stretch out etc. the better it is.

Loving my dh, two girls ages 6 and 3 and my baby boy born on Halloween 2010. Missing my angel 9/08

I haven't had it yet but had it terrible with all of my other pregnancys

To me it feels like the muscle is ripping away from the inside of my pelvis.

I'm hoping that since I had twins last time and I never went quite back to normal that it won't be so bad this time. There has to be some benefit to my mid-section being stretched to crap, right

Is joint pain common in general? My hip has been killing me. And I haven't gained more than half a pound or so, so it can't be the pressure from that, yet.

I've been having sharp pain in the muscles right next to my pelvis when I sneeze- is this the same thing as RLP? Sometimes it's only on one size, other times it's on both sides. Ouch!

I had ligament pain starting as soon as the red lines were dry...so 3 weeks
I don't feel it anymore, I guess the ligaments have stretched out now.

I don't really remember feeling it with my last pregnancy but it was probably in my early 2nd trimester.

I have the round ligament pain too. Didn't expect it this early but I'm a little overweight so I think it's really strained in there.

I remember during my first pregnancy when I got these sharp pains I went immediately to the doctor, sure I was miscarrying or something. He very patiently explained that it was the ligament and told me to lie down for a few days. In hindsight I think he was just mollifying me.
