Today I'm 8 weeks, 6 days. I'm going to my first prenatal midwife appointment tomorrow. I am afraid they would say that 9 weeks is too early to listen for a fetal heart. ( Some won't listen until 10 weeks). I am dying to make sure everything is ok, even though I just had an ultrasound last week, but after 3 losses, you get kinda desperate! I have a doppler @ my office, so I decided to bring it home from work and see what I could hear, knowing it's kinda early. I found the HB after some extremely hard pressing. It sounded nice and strong. What a relief to a stressful day. I could listen to that sound all day long. If the midwife doesn’t want to listen for the heartbeat, I’ll tell her “ I already heard it yesterday, so don’t worry about it!” ****big sigh***

congrats!

Now take more deep sighs and breathe. :

I went in for my first appt with my midwife at 9 weeks 3 days and was able to hear the heartbeat too.

Yay for little heartbeats!

I went in at 9 weeks and they couldn't hear the heart beat. Luckily they had an old ultrasound machine there and we saw the heart beat. I just heard it yesterday. It's pretty cool
