Try drinking a lot of water also. Many times I get headaches it's related to dehydration.

Mine are frequently related to tension -- get a loved one to give you a massage. Or better yet, get a professional one!

I had a migraine last week... Tried Tylenol. Tried doubling the dose. Still nothing. So I broke down and used Ibuprofen.

unfortunately, tylenol never works for me. maybe it's certain people? I don't know. I've found a wee bit of caffeine (chocolate or 1/4 cup of coffee) helps bring it down to manageable. something about restricting blood vessels.

sometimes a wee bit of caffeine can make all the difference- like a cup of black tea with milk or hot cocoa or even half a cup of coffee. I've cut caffeine out for the most part, but I would have just a little to ward off a serious headache. I think the only Tylenol we're supposed to take is regular, which is actually the hardest to find- everything is extra strength or with some added stuff these days...

Peppermint and lavender essential oils rubbed on my temples and the nape of my neck help me. I bought a "headache roll-on" from an aromatherapy store years ago.

Extra-stregnth Tylenol is okay as long as you're not taking it round the clock for days on end. It still only has acetominophen in it.

Re: caffiene, again, for a one time thing, even a larger "dose" w/ a cup of coffee or a coke is okay.

& I said it before on another headache thread, but sometimesa too-tight pony tail will give me headache & taking the pony tail out helps a lot.
